HELLO HIVE

Farming has not been all that good for some farmers in my place with farms suffering massively from pest, disease and the sudden stop in rainfall. The later is currently unleashing the most damage with some farmers losing a lot of farm produce because of this, the rainfall this year has been quite irregular compared to the past years. Then it is either the rain starts early and ends early or it starts late and end late but this year it actually started late and ended early, this way certain crops did not enjoy rainfall for the whole period that it should have enjoyed it.

Rice farming activities started late because of the rainfall and many farmers where hoping that the rain will hang on a little longer and meet every period the rice needs it to maximize harvest but right now that's not the case cause the rain has probably stopped for the year and some rice have barely even produce before then, some parts of my farm has not produced yet and while in some parts the ground is still cold in other parts the ground is completely dry and the rice is drying up already.

Farmers who farm close to the river can now turn to irrigation farming to push through but for farmers that are far from the river I think it is all over because it will be difficult to channel any kind of water into the farm at this point. The farmers who planted the short grain rice are already harvesting because the growth to maturity period of short grain rice is short compared to the long grain rice that is longer.
