South Island Robin (kakaruai)

So I have been busy, probably too busy than I used to with work and a bit of personal stuff that I hardly have time for.

No complains though, I am coping and still greatful. I was out in Arthur's Pass working on a cell site, an unusual kind of work as a Network Technician.

I was task to survey the plint foundation of the cell site with the help of my colleague and it requires digging to a depth of 1m, which is unusual work for me; and this cute bird, South Island robin also known as The kakauai came to visit us at close range several times.

I couldn't ignore her any longer and had to photograph her. She is just so cute, I like her colors 😍

That beautiful bird is truly curious... perhaps, thanks to your hole, it saw some interesting things to eat 😀
Have a nice weekend

Definitely a curious bird considering the amount of times she fly away and comes back.

Wishing you a nice weekend too, thanks.

The robin looks nice. I am kind of glad that it didn't run away and let you take pictures.

NZ birds are flight lazy, they come very close to humans. I am told it is because they don't have any ground prey to always fly away from so they tend to fly if they have to kind of.
