Peaceful Encounter With Oamaru Penguins 🐧 🇳🇿

With over 40 photos taken during my encounter with the penguins 🐧 in Oamaru that has caused me to be lazy towards sharing the photos, I have managed to delete some and the photos are now 23 making it easy for me to upload and share 😀

So an advice to myself is stop taking too many photos of the same subject Joe! 😀😀

I kind of like Oamaru, it is the link when driving to Dunedin or Invercargill on State Highway 1. And as usual, when I am in a town and I have a bit of time to explore I always get onto Google to check and on this day 18th of September 2025, Google told me there is Oamaru Penguins less than 10km from my motel, so I took a drive to check them out.

It was a peaceful encounter, the penguins 🐧 enjoying themselves, the pier on which they are on is at a ruin state so walking on the pier is prohibited 🚫, you will find some of the photos with poor focus qualities because I had to zoom from distance for shots 📸, that explains why I took so many photos 📸 😀
