We got through farm lands mostly of cattle to access some of our cell tower sites, and the rule of accessing these farm properties is to leave the farm gate the way you found it.

If it is closed, pass through and close it. If it is open, pass through and leave it open.

I have seen my colleagues do that, but I treated it like when you see cattle around close the gate and if you don't you may leave the gate open.

So I left the gate open and proceeded with my colleagues up the mountain.

Nigel, the senior colleague, told me up there the rule of the gate and how it could get us into trouble.

So I thanked him and decided on a walk to go close the gate. The distance to the gate looked short while in the vehicle. It turned out it was over 1km going up and downhill.

It was a lesson learned, but I treated myself to photos in the process of rectifying my mistake.

The snowy route looks beautiful but I don't know if I want to walk through it. At least you closed the gate before other people got involved. It sucks, but at least you know what to do from now on.

For a short walk or a prepared hiking walk it is quite beautiful, I didn't prepare for a long walk through the snow so it left me sweat a bit in my warm thermal clothes that eventually got me cold.

Oh my… hahaha that was a bit long to walk there and back.
Luckily you could take the views in.
Beautiful snowy landscape 😃
Have a great evening Joe

The beautiful views was the reward and made the walk not so bad but it surely was a long surprising walk I wasn't prepared for.

I did, may your day be a beautiful one.

Good day, Jackie.

Have you shared with us which part of Europe 🇪🇺 you are yet? Did I miss it?

Hi Joe 👋🏻😊

Nope… I need to find time to start posting the rest of the road trip. Maybe I don’t add 60 photos in each post, as that still doesn’t work well with limited internet. Maybe 10 per post or so…
Working hard on the garden this week. Trying to get the strawberry beds unweeded… and nourished so we can harvest hopefully some strawberries 🍓
The garden is a mess… a shame the last owners left it like this.

Let’s see if i have some time in the next days to post the next part.
Enjoy your day.

Okay great, 10-15 photos might be the solution to get the posts going.

It's s shame when some don't look after property.
Take it a day at a time and your garden will be transformed into your desired look in no time.

Happy gardening
Thanks and you too

You are right. Otherwise they won’t be posted. Hahaha !LOL

I am, I decided today is a rest day as my back is playing up. The car has to have a service today and timing belt change. As next month we have to bring it back to Ireland or UK again to sell… so a long drive and new adventures ahead of us.
It needs to get there.

Thank you Joe, will do.
Have a nice evening 👋🏻😊

Do take care of your back,
Nice, am sure you must be looking forward to the drive and this time not a drive in winter.

Take care Jackie
Thank you

Will do…

Yes, a drive with no snow and ice. It will be fun.
We will fly back when the car arrived. We sell it end of august. So fly there again. Can’t do before a year after importing a car. But we had to get it out of EU mainland because only the insurance is covered for half a year… hahaha fun things when moving countries. There are always complications.

I just managed to post a longer post for the wednesday walk. With more photos. I made the image size smaller.
So maybe I can still include more photos in the road trip post. I went through them and can’t really reduce them to 15 photos only !LOL

Take care Joe

Farm life one really obeys the rules or calamity if animals get out much like here, surprised you forgot that one!

Vistas in this country are picture perfect no matter where you go, walking back great opportunity to really stop and see/feel nature.

I got complacent there to be honest, I didn't see cattle around and decided it was safe to leave it open, lesson learned.

A beautiful country!
Many thanks for the tip

Simple lesson when on farmlands, check if there is a bull in the meadow and close gates! !LOLZ
