Found on High Street Christchurch | CCC'S Street Art Contest #258
Just off Hereford Street is High Street, where the Tram railway 🚋 runs in Christchurch city center, I found this mural portrait of New Zealand's rugby 🏉 league coach David Kidwell.
I am not really into rugby and don't know David Kidwell but rugby is a big sport for New Zealanders and it is no surprise to find a mural of one of their coaches who probably was an ex player.
The artist of the mural is Mr. G
Quite a beautiful grayish mural done with absolute talent.
On the angular side of the same wall is another mural which you are seeing a glimpse of but deserves its own post so that will be my entry for next week and the first photo of this post is my entry for this week's CCC'S Street Art Contest.

One of the younger players who moved into training international teams, must be a Kiwi hero, only 48 years old now his knowledge of the game has taken him to interesting places.

Thank you for the bit of information about him, no surprise as to how you know his age 😉.

Followed sports a lot more when younger, got to a point where I seldom view much now except rugby or swimming.
Even soccer ⚽️?
If you watch soccer and support Chelsea, we are going to be best buddies 😀
Children player soccer when young, not soccer not something I ever followed !LOLZ
Nice tribute to this rugby player. It's the national sport, always impressive to see the haka at the start of a match. Thanks for sharing these pics on The StreetArt Community.
Have a great day

This was nice to see about someone who had a great impact on the sport. I have not seen the haka done live yet, it will be nice to experience it live.
Thank you and you too
