This mural stands out when driving through Moorehouse avenue, Christchurch. I often spot it and always tell myself that I will have to one day take a detour for a stop to have it photographed.

So the day arrived in October 2025, when I took the detour to 3 Washington way, Sydenham, Christchurch for photos of this stunning mural.

The usual snow capped mountain peaks of New Zealand in the background with vibrant colorful flowers with birds in nature makes this mural one of my favorites that I have found in Christchurch.

Very beautifully painted by Jacob Yikes.

This mural is my entry to this week's contest.
