Celebrating my birthday with friends

It was my birthday yesterday, and it was a day well celebrated, which I was content about.
I started my born day with breakfast at about 9am, then set out for a hike at Sugar Loaf in Christchurch.
I chose Sugars Loaf because it has a communications tower that stands out in Christchurch. It is almost visible from any part of Christchurch, and it has always been on my hiking list, so yesterday was the day I chose to hike up there, and I made it.

I will share photos later about my hike.

Above is the tower that I photographed, not yesterday, but earlier this year, I kept long for a hike up there.

Later yesterday, my Filipino flatmates and I went to a Chinese restaurant, Madam Kwong, for dinner. I could have done better with the photos, but at the time of photographing the moment, I didn't think of sharing it with you guys.

We ordered a variety of meals, seafood fried rice, chicken fried chicken, beef, pork..., we started our meal with chicken and corn soup even though I am not a fan of soup.

Too much to eat and a lot to take away, it was a day well celebrated 🥳

Bonus not having a birthday on working day, nice steep hike to get you ready for the feast that evening.

Thank you it was a much-needed long weekend break that luckily was the weekend of my birthday and going for a steep hike for me was fun and refreshing out in nature.
