AI Is For Real
Using AI as a quicker means to get jobs done is real and we better take it seriously. My interest in AI still hasn't grown beyond ChatGPT even though I am a millennial unlike Generation Z that are much quicker to embrace new technology, I am open to change and slow to completely embracing of new technology, I take it slowly and when I find a connection, I get hooked, and most probably don't look back.
There have been numerous AI tools following the launch of ChatGPT but I am still stuck with ChatGPT which I use almost daily.
Even at my level of being stuck at the level of ChatGPT, I am way ahead of most that don't know such a tool exists. Sometimes it is unfortunate that it is not what you know but who you know, where you are born, or the country in which you reside that impacts your level of success. And this can sometimes translate to life being unfair when luck is most of the time against you.
I can relate this to building DAS/IBS projects in South Africa with all my skills and yet being the one that oversaw the projects hands-on from start to finish I went home with less than 18% in payment.
I gained documentation skills during the process of managing those projects and it has been working to my advantage.
Telecoms site documents
Being able to compile an Asbuild document (site file) wasn't easy for me, I am a Technician all I know is to get my hands dirty with tools, working at heights, etc so sitting behind the laptop for an Asbuild document was a tough task for me.
With the projects on me that I have to deliver, I was stuck with learning how to get Asbuild documents done.
Recently I was contacted by a Telecom acquaintance from South Africa, he needed help with DAS Survey Template, which I have no idea how it is done.
I reached out to a friend that works with Huawei, I knew he deals with documents so he told me to have it done in Excel, he offered to send me a sample but was too busy, so I consulted ChatGPT.
Above was my prompt and I was amazed at what ChatGPT came up with. It gave me 14 points which I entered into an Excel spreadsheet, I added and removed a few words to match what I want.
In less than 2 hours I was done helping my friend in South Africa and had the template emailed to him.
I was amazed at how ChatGPT gave me the Telecoms terminologies, it would have taken a whole day to do this on my own, thinking about what is to be included in a DAS survey template.
AI is here, whether we see it as a threat to jobs or not, a better approach to it will be to embrace it and apply it to where we see fit for whatever kind of job we do.
We owe it to ourselves to make Hive great

Excel I know, now what I don't is new AI technology however do agree this will become something closer than we think.

Al can be quite useful, but people actually abuse its use 1 i think because thats just the nature of others. I for sure haven't make use of any AI
There are going to be those that abuse the use of it, I think we should use it when it doesn't violate being used to do certain work.

Well the greed of man never seem to be enough, even hive banned the use of AI in making multiple post.
We need to respect the proof of brain concept of Hive though there is a community for AI content. Randomly using AI to generate content for rewards is an abuse of the system.

Undoubtedly, AI will enter our lives more in the future. Those who keep up with the change will gain, but those who ignore the change may even be unemployed in the future.
I think AI will be useful, but the statements of AI developers worry me because if abused, it can become a huge weapon.
It does have a tendency to become a weapon, we are dealing with a very powerful technology the other side of it can be very scary if used for the wrong reasons.
In the mean time, we have to embrace it and utilize it for our benefit.

That's a great way to view AI. Great to see that you could use it to save time and still be able to help your friend put. One thing we need to remember is that AI cannot substitute for knowledge and expertise; one needs to have a background in the subject to use it efficiently.
ChatGPT is a language model, and being a model that is trained on existing data, it means it is ,'garbage in, garbage out' - One's prompt really matters. If one is clueless and vague with prompts, the results are likely to be vague and not reliable.
Absolutely I agree with you, the prompts matter, I have had to use it on several occasions where I had to rephrase the prompts to better get what I want from it and it is definitely not a substitute for knowledge I still prefer human originality over.

AI can be a great assistant in doing our daily tasks. Younger minds are wizards in these things and it amazes me how they use this technology. AI is here to stay and impact our lives.
The younger ones are quicker and smarter with technology, the likes of me are trying to hold on and not be left behind.

AI is all about who uses it. In a way, I don't think it's going to go away but you will also have to double-check the accuracy. After all, the information is not always up to date but having a place to start already makes things a lot easier.
True, depending entirely on it makes one lazy and could cause one to appear unprofessional, it is better to check the accuracy and amend where necessary.
