First Post on Hive Garden: Getting to know my Lilies and my Garden

Hello, my dear Hive Garden community. This is the first time I post here and I want to show you some of the plants I have in my home.

For more than six years I have had white ribbon lilies (they are small), also fuchsia or deep pink. Of the larger ones I have orange lilies; these are the kindest, as I have had the joy of seeing them bloom with my care during these months. I also have a red one that belonged to a neighbor who left the country and gave it to me; I only saw it bloom once, with her, and with me I have never been able to see its flower again.

Growing my garden is therapy for me. The simple act of touching the soil, watering it every day and even watching it grow and bloom generates in me an active morning meditation that calms my daily anxiety and stress.

Growing flowers evokes feelings of patience and perseverance. Not all plants bloom at the same time or without effort. I have learned, through many stumbles, to overcome challenges such as pests or disease, and waiting for the right time to bloom has taught me valuable lessons and strengthened my resolve.

The white lilies were a gift from my mother, I brought them from Cumaná and they give me a feeling of purity because of how beautiful they are. The fuchsia lilies were a gift from my neighbor, but they usually bloom in May, just like the orange ones, although the latter only bloom during the months of April and May.

I have many types of flowering plants. In December I was given a desert flower, but due to the change of climate and care, it is going through a process of adaptation. Its trunk is still green but with no leaves, they fell off but I will tell you later about the care I am giving it and I hope to see new green leaves soon.

Today I dedicated myself to remove all the weeds from the garden where I have the lilies. I greatly desire to see the whole bunch blooming in that lovely circle my husband and I have planted. I also have an oregano plant there that I usually use for cooking and a Russelia rain plant that is very beautiful, but the most beautiful thing about this plant is the number of hummingbirds that come to drink its nectar. Watching little birds coming to my house generates me much more meditation with nature.

Hola, mi querida comunidad de Hive Garden. Es la primera vez que publico por acá y quiero mostrarles un poco de las plantas que tengo en mi hogar.

Desde hace más de seis años tengo lirios tipo cinta de color blanco (son pequeños), también de color fucsia o rosado intenso. De los más grandes tengo lirios de color naranja; estos son los más bondadosos, pues he tenido la dicha de verlos florecer con mis cuidados durante estos meses. También tengo uno de color rojo que era de una vecina que se fue del país y me lo regaló; solo lo vi florecer una vez, con ella, y conmigo nunca he podido observar nuevamente su flor.

Cultivar mi jardín es una terapia para mí. El simple hecho de tocar la tierra, regarla cada día e incluso observar su crecimiento y floración genera en mí una meditación activa mañanera que calma mi ansiedad y estrés diario.

Cultivar flores evoca sentimientos de paciencia y perseverancia. No todas las plantas florecen al mismo tiempo ni sin esfuerzo. He aprendido, a través de muchos tropiezos, a superar los desafíos como plagas o enfermedades, y esperar el momento adecuado para la floración me ha enseñado valiosas lecciones y ha fortalecido mi determinación.

Los lirios blancos fueron un regalo de mi mamá, los traje de Cumaná y me dan una sensación de pureza por lo hermosos que son. Los lirios fucsia me los regaló mi vecina, pero generalmente florecen en mayo, igual que los naranjas, aunque estos últimos solo florecen durante los meses de abril y mayo.

Tengo muchos tipos de plantas de flores. En diciembre me regalaron una flor del desierto, pero debido al cambio de clima y de cuidados, está pasando por un proceso de adaptación. Aún está verde su tronco pero sin hojas, se le cayeron pero luego les contaré sobre el cuidado que le estoy dando y espero ver pronto nuevas hojas verdes.

Hoy me dediqué a quitar toda esa maleza del jardín donde tengo los lirios. Deseo enormemente ver todo el grupo florecer en ese círculo tan bonito que hemos plantado mi esposo y yo. Allí también tengo una planta de orégano que generalmente uso para cocinar y una planta de lluvia Russelia que es muy hermosa, pero lo más bello de esta planta es la cantidad de colibríes que llegan a tomar su néctar. Observar cómo llegan pajaritos a mi casa me genera mucha más meditación con la naturaleza.
