Greetings to all my friends 😊

I was walking down the main road near my place one afternoon. The sun was out warm on my skin and i was just going slow like i always do when i have time. Then all of a sudden i saw them. These flowers right there by the side of the road and they were so beautiful i almost tripped looking at them. Their colors were way too bright to miss i just had to stop walking and stand there to look good and proper!

The biggest one was sitting all proud on the left side of the bunch. It’s pink and red mixed all over not just one color but lots swirled together. The middle part is dark brown almost black and there’s heaps of tiny yellow bits on top that look like little dots of sunshine. When i got close i could see how soft the petals are they feel and look just like the nice cloth my mom uses for making dresses.

Next to that big one up on the right there’s an orange flower that stands up tall. When the sun hits it right it looks so warm exactly like the sun when it’s coming up in the morning. Its center is dark brown and kind of fuzzy and each little petal has a tiny red mark at the very end. I looked a bit harder and saw some purple flowers too hiding quiet behind all the green leaves like they don’t want anyone to see them..

Down a bit lower there’s another flower that’s all bright red. Every time a little wind comes by, it sways back and forth like it’s dancing slow. If you look past it there’s a big green field that goes on and on far away from the road. And in that field you can see more of these same red flowers dotted around like someone dropped little red buttons all over the grass.

You know what else? These flowers smell really good. It’s not the kind of strong smell that makes your nose hurt it’s just nice and light like when someone bakes something sweet in their house and you can smell it from outside. I don’t usually stop for things when im walking somewhere i always think i need to get there fast. But these flowers were way too pretty to just walk past. When i stood there looking at them i felt so happy inside like something good just happened for no reason at all.

I stayed there for a while just looking at each one careful. The pink and red one had a little ant walking on its petal going slow like it was looking for something. The orange one had a tiny bee land on it for a second then fly off again to another spot. Even the purple ones that were hiding looked nice once i could see them clear their color is deep like grapes you get at the market.

The grass around the flowers was green and soft too and there were a few little white weeds mixed in but they did not make the place look messy. It just looked like how things are supposed to be all different colors and shapes together. I bent down a little to touch one of the red petals again and it felt so smooth under my finger..

After some time i remembered i was supposed to be going to the store to get bread and milk. But I did not mind being a bit late. Sometimes you just need to stop and look at nice things right? Before i walked off i looked back one more time the flowers were still there bright and pretty even when i was starting to get far away.

When i was walking to the store after i kept looking around to see if there were more flowers anywhere else. I did not find any as nice as those ones but it was okay. I already saw something really beautiful that day and it made my whole walk feel better. Even now when i think about them i get a little smile on my face.
