We dance to balance life. Elegant matrix. 💃

Good morning to everyone in the Hive community. Today I'm going to share a little of my journey in the world of Dance.

Photograph I took during the Flamenco dance performance, at the State Governor's house, with Barbara Veronez and master Cecilia Hermeto.

I am the son of a classical ballet dancer, so it went from the technical support part, as an evolution to something like sound design, until reaching the administrative and creative part of the project. I've been working together with these guys for years and I confess that it's really cool to see how dance is capable of bringing people together, dissolving bad feelings, traumas and something more dense.

When we started the Reverence Studio de Danca e Cia Reverence project, the idea was to focus on working with geriatrics and women. But it was only a matter of time before the girl returned to the scene. It's great to work with children, sometimes it can be more work, but in terms of physical, mental resourcefulness and so on, the difference is clear and the learning potential is also evident.

World Women's Day

Last year we did something really cool that portrays the dynamism of the Reverence Team in terms of project variation. Tributes, Shows, Workshops, Presentations, Tournaments, it seems that a little of everything has already been accomplished. This time I was able to have the honor of planning a video with the help of a Drone belonging to "Tio Rui", which he piloted with mastery, performing angles previously mapped by us and the choreographers of the collective improvisation performance. And it was great to see this contrast of movements and colors from another angle, forming a more complex series of dance analysis.

So I'll leave the link to this achievement here for you to check out on YouTube. This was an artistic video developed with all the women who made themselves available to participate in the action. where the geometric triangle formations, a circus dissolving into abstract movements followed by a chain of hands, symbolize this entire flow of feminine energy interacting, creating and killing every day in order to leave the environment merely alive and balanced in the face of all inferences it suffers.

Annual closing shows

For a few years now I have been asked to be closer during the development of the Reverence Academy's annual Show. So I'm going to share it with you in light of last year's "Reverence on Stage, from Behind the Scenes to the Stage"

This was a really cool show as it had participation from all the academy disciplines, with a digital interaction on a big screen, showing a kind of testimonials and a preview release before the choreography started. So together with Luiza, Toninho and all the dear teachers and Maestra Karla Parmagnani, we did something more dynamic. One very interesting thing I was able to do during these times was the application of different soundtracks during the construction of moments. In the world of dance, people often only think about classical French, Russian dancers, etc., who structured ballet alongside other cultures, but that's not why we should stick to this musical style, right? So it was a matter of time before a lot of samba, batuque and other Brazilian music started to work together with oriental, Afro or even more mysterious music. In the last show we played the music from the film by hayao miyazaki (studio ghibli director) from the film Howl's Moving Castle Theme Song. And honestly, it's really cool to receive praise for this choice and see the fluidity of dance such as ballet, flamenco, jazz and more to the sound of such a beautiful and poetic film like this.

NAF 432Hz Flute Presentation for the year-end show "Ar-te". It's great to be able to emit this vibration for almost 200 people with the help of good sound design and acoustics from Teatro Sônia Cabral! Congratulations and health to everyone on this fast-paced end of the year. Halleluya.

This is me and my Father doing the technical team work hanging up all the circus equipment such as lyre, cloths and more. My father was always a guy who liked saving money, more than that, doing the things he could do himself. This way I learned the culture of D.I.Y Do iT Yourself. Try it yourself. So that's why everyone on our team ends up developing cross-functional roles, of course emphasizing their due inclinations and best skills.

Our last most notable achievement was the participation in the public notice Lei Paulo Gustavo of the Brazilian federal government ministry of culture. Where the dancers went to the north of Espirito Santo, on the border with Bahia, to perform 3 different activities. Presentations in the fishing village, inclusive presentations in schools and more distant centers and also free classes for the entire community. Covering this and being a little closer to the team for a few days in a row was truly remarkable.

I hope you enjoyed this a little more behind-the-scenes look at how I support this ballet project, as well as personal, artistic, surfing developments and more. I'll be leaving links below in case you're interested in seeing a little more of our work as Cultura na Danca and see you next time :)
