Walk Of Life

Travel Under The Sun With Moon And Stars

Holding ourselves together trying to understand the meaning of life, take a walk, look to the horizon, or to that right beside you, accept life in brief moments to cherish what we have.

People have developed lifestyles of rushing to and fro, seeking a gift in compassion and empathy, ability to give nothing but accept life itself to rise above hard times most are living in today.

"Walk it off", get outdoors find something that fascinates you personally, relate the feeling or story it's really what Wednesday Walk is about, it doesn't have to be exotic or travel, what is around you?

Jasmin now filled to the brim with red berries, bringing birds in to enjoy a feast in flight.

We don't exactly share, each to their own said the Starlings...

IMG_0162.JPG
Now what is all the fuss about, the Weaver came to inspect as well.

Talking of weavers the males are extremely busy up on the Fever tree (Vachellia xanthophloea), deluxe high rise dwellings with many palm trees in the hood to build six or seven nests to be judged by the ladies later as to whether or not he will get it on!....

IMG_0202.JPG
Building begins in earnest, next time this tree will have more than the five being currently constructed

IMG_0227.JPG
Argy-bargy going on high above selecting branches

In the meanwhile while taking my eyes onto next sighting is Cheeky busy changing into his special outfit to impress the ladies, staring to become more chatty, not quite up to full speed yet. Pin-tail whydah do tend to make their presence known, more will follow as the season progresses.

IMG_0244.JPG
Where are the ladies asked Cheeky....?

Local Crow in flight across the horizon whilst out walking, a little later in the day this time.

IMG_0198.JPG

Half moon greetings, always look up, well stop walking then look up one never keeps track of everything if we don't stop to soak in vistas.

IMG_0195.JPG

Sunset always a highlight at days end, time to assess what you accomplished, hoping tomorrow will arrive with much to enjoy once again. Hadada ibis lift off to go home to his tree wherever that might be.

IMG_0181.JPG

Seasonal change happening at the moment, let's take one of my endless walks around the garden. Much happens daily keeping me alert to moods in my surroundings. A pretty flower currently in bloom in succulent variety of which the name evades me for now.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your daily walks, make them a routine it is so good, nowhere like home!

Berry tree is full of birds one normally only sees them once out of the depths.

Moon is stunning with clouds scuttling across the sky at the moment, just walked in after sunset cruise around the garden, yup this little camera is a trusty little pocket size for amazing shots.

Weavers are busy in tree on other end of neighbours garden so it gives a good idea on zoom ability.

This made me think when was the last time I saw a nest?🤔.
Seems it was already decades

I like the message I get from this post. There is so much beauty around us (medicine for the soul), yet we rush around, chasing shiny objects...

Thanks for sharing these beautiful moments of nature with us!

Walk of life happens daily, was fun preparing from photography with Spring starting to happen. Days of rushing around reversed, it comes to me now....

Fever tree is tall enough for the first time to attract many weavers to build, it's going to be fun watching their coming and going.

We usually try to have a long walk on weekends, there is no rush and if we have nice weather, then we spend hte day outside. The photos of jasmin full of berries. I believe they are also a favourite for birds.
The half moon is well captured, like the pattern of it :)

Weekend walks were always our highlight, since floods not so much I am waiting for all clear on condition of river and sea for Ecoli before taking the dogs once again.

Moon appears late afternoon slowly sliding directly overhead around midnight, always enjoy watching.

Berries are not as plump as normal, lack of rain at the moment. Still attracts the birds irrespective, they not too fussy about this meal.

Yes, I think that is everywhere. All is not as plump as it used to be because of no rain.
Let’s hope we get some more. Drought is everywhere…

Good it attracts the birds still, good for our photographs 🤓😉
Have a wonderful Thursday @joanstewart 👋🏻☀️

And all of this is within walking distance of your home, what a beautiful area you live in.
I've always wondered how people live in the city, void of nature with people all around. Everyone to their own I guess.

Spectacular picture of the moon.

Thanks for visiting and wishing yourself and Robin 😇

Isn't that the truth about so many situations.
Robin's life has been hectic lately, spending much time back in NJ taking care of her sister.
I'll let her know you were sending some well wishes, she'd appreciate that.

Thanks for sending on greetings, hope her sister fully recovers soon.

That would be a miracle. 28 years ago she suffered a spinal cord injury and was paralyzed from mid-chest down. She's one tough cookie, but things are not looking real good at the moment.
Robin is an angel, and has been in her corner since the day of the accident.

How awful, yet very brave to carry on, having a sister to assist when you really battling, yes I relate well to that!

Sending love and wishes.... Take care.
