Seasonal Change

Transitions And Changes

Like most of us we hit certain seasons, some in anticipation others with dread, knowing nature is never wrong predicting which season she is in.

IMG_4623.JPG

Shoulder seasons are Spring and Fall, both times of the year I most enjoy from one day to the next something different transpires.

Boukop.png

Likened to Spring in life when everything blooms with lustre, Autumn leading to the golden years, hopefully ready to go slower yet still have enough juice over! After sucking lemons partially along a journey, managed to store some lemonade for later.

IMG_4609.JPG

Transitions and changes, embracing seasons with open arms enjoying each moment, make each happier than the last. Like everything around us we change, something around us influences our seasons, making change into a new phase we may not ask for, it will happen.

"Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each." - Henry David Thoreau

IMG_4619.JPG

We cannot change circumstance, seasons, wind, we are only able to make the most with each day enjoying new beginnings as life presents its own phases of happiness or not so happy periods we face.

IMG_4675.JPG

Embrace what we are unable to alter as revealed. Occasional tears of sadness or joy like rain drops falling from above, times rejuvenating or consequence of feeling life tugging at our heart.

IMG_4667.JPG

We bigger than we realize, smaller than we know, fact is seasons keep turning in an ever changing world.

All photography from month of August (except Bloukop over July/August), our shoulder season in the Southern Hemisphere, one day rain the next shine!

Yellow-billed kite sighted a couple of days ago, another sure sign warmer weather is returning, have a superb weekend to one and all, thanks for visiting.

Life has a way of showing us how big we are and yet small. Better to always face each day with humility, positive vibes with smile on our faces.

Beautiful shots 📷 as always 👌
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

When lightning strikes as it did last night, definitely reminds you of how small you are! First Spring rain although not the first rain in Winter this arrived with electrical dance which is different.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy the weekend, hopefully next one will be back at home in Benin. !LUV

how are you dear friend @joanstewart good afternoon
You are quite right, I also think that spring and autumn are the two best times.
What beautiful photographs of flowers and birds, I love the diversity they have there
I take this opportunity to wish you a splendid afternoon

Happens suddenly so they say, not really it warms ever so slightly when you notice on closer inspection much is blooming like neon signs to let you know nature is busy making her next move.

Have a lovely Sunday and thanks for visiting.

As a little boy, I looked forward to every season because every season has its own charm.
For the past few years, spring and fall seem to be the most acceptable. Spring ends winter and autumn brings a slowdown after a "wild" summer.
Not only nature is changing. We also change and our "preferences" change :-).

I wish you a nice rest of the weekend.

When we look back over life we change, perhaps not noticing at first, accepting seasonal change within ourselves through different eyes.

Appreciate your visit and kind words in sharing.

Yes. Our "point of view" is what changes faster than the weather :-).

Sometimes we need to stop, take a breath, too much being bombarded at people of late. 🙃confused with current events worldwide...

Beautiful post Joan! I love the analogy of seasons and the curveballs life throws at us. Your photographs are simply stunning.
PS the Swallows are already back in the one nest here at home, way too early, or not?
Have a great Sunday 🤗

Change is the only permanent thing on earth they say and whether we like it or not, it happens. It is indeed best to transition gracefully, appreciate, and enjoy each season as they arrive.

That's good to hear :) Looking back can be nostalgic and fun at the same time, especially with wonderful memories of past seasons in life.

Always fun seeing new, then relating back to previous, people think massive change happens quickly, when it normally is small but continuous.

The season of joy is upon you, my friend. Methinks that secretly, they are all of your seasons, in one way or another. Each one holds a special meaning, something to appreciate, a piece that makes the puzzle more complete.

I think nature loves you as much as you love it.

Beautiful pictures with words of thought. Good morning from here, Joan!

Agree, seasons are like chapters in life's story book, written slowly till the book is concluded.

Giant big clock going around in incremental sections, nature keeps us on time. 🌸

Good morning Denise, rise and shine Monday is here....

Nice, winter i don't mind the cold, I have spent a lot of my working life outdoors, it is just the wet and the rain I do not like as much

Rain has never troubled me, it is the wind when angry and cruel whipping through that is no fun.

Always smile thinking back before reaching 21 years, you wish you were all grown up and able to go it alone. Later you reminisce on how we wish we were back again, the absolute freedom living at home with Mom and Dad, now we have to accept it gracefully!

You are so right. The only constant is change. We only find happiness when we embrace that. Thank you for the lovely photos ❤️

Change arrives whether we like it or not, when young always exciting, older with trepidation it's life. Wishing you a wonderful day and thanks for the visit.

That's so true. And we spend so much time and energy fighting it. I think we instinctively don't want to let go. We get comfortable in the familiar. They say, "comfortable" is the most dangerous thing to be. You don't grow when you're comfortable.

Comfort zones are dangerous, just when you think you have a little control, poof it is gone! Happy Thorsday with !LUV
