Harmony Between Species

We don't sing the same song, yet none are off key, able to share a perch or morsel to eat depending on pecking order through the species.

IMG_0309.JPG

Birds tend rely on each other, some sound the alarm when danger lurks close, hang out together when food is found, do certain species enjoy each others company, sharing life together?

IMG_0416.JPG

Little is known of life as a bird, we see them together, but how much is truly understood, when resources are scarce or nesting, song may be warning, protecting territory, when plentiful come to ground using fail safe arriving in numbers.

IMG_0974.JPG

Distinct characters sharing the same plate does not mean they will ever team off and mate across species.

Tall and short of it all is a mutual understanding, able to live in harmony across a variety of species.

IMG_1025.JPG

A trade-off mingling together, being vigilant when eating sharing common space, an alarm call from one will send all in search of higher ground in the blink of an eye.

IMG_1136.JPG

Even odd couples may share a perch on mutual understanding in the moment, a harmony between species in the lives of our feathered friends.

If birds can live in harmony, why can't we?

Interesting perspective and capturing these while they are of different kinds sharing moments together. I suppose we should learn from the simplest of things around us to live better amongst each other.

You got some really interesting couples. So unusual and yet, they do find the harmony.
And again the proverb is just spot on. You know how much I like the proverbs you choose.
Thank you for your wonderful post and thoughts.

Many birds get along, not all !LOLZ smaller ones keep looking to the skies in case a predator is circling above. Proverbs are fun pieces easy to remember.

I have no idea why we can't, honestly, but I'm sure that most people even don't want it.

These are some lovely bird couples, Joan, the last photo is sweet, I like how the right bird looks to the other one 😊

Some avoid you by crossing the street or pretending they do not see you, Oh dear no longer in the prime of life, it's all natural!

Black-collared barbet most probably keeping an eye on Jacky Hanger (Shrike) just in case they ruffle each others feathers...

Have a lovely evening !LUV

I'm often happy when someone doesn't see me because then I don't have to greet him neither 😁 !LOLZ
Humans are funny animals, aren't they? Sometime in evolution we must have lost a gene that the animals still have 😉

Wishing you also a lovely evening - the rain has stopped here and it's already pretty warm again 😅

Neat captures of the birds, Joan. I especially like the two different ones on the perch in the last photo and the bird with the long beak.

The same here with the many different birds that come for food. They seem to get along quite well. The grackles do try to drive the other birds away but they can’t get them to leave. 😊

Last photo both insect eaters perhaps it was a good day above that tree, we don't have grackles over here.

Only birds that chase each other are Starlings chase Indian Mynah birds the rest appear to be very much in harmony.
