Mirror Of Life

Reflections Quest

Intentional photography of reflections when relaxing into scenery surrounding us, perhaps a stark reality of looking into a mirror seeing an image distinctly giving two.

There are moments when in certain areas this option opens up to make normal become apparent a little more than it may actually be. White bench along this little dam appears under dull cloudy sky in an outdoor setting that gave a contented feel when developing, actually looking around what to work with.

Zebra alongside water another attempt at capturing reflection, unfortunately unable to alight the vehicle had to do what was more than achieved with wildlife on water pans previously. Yes many attempts, as many failures if not more, trying to capture the magic before you forget.

Hammerkop bird wading through water, angle of sun was in my favour being late afternoon, the bird is dark, some adjustment required here with GIMP assistance to adjust slightly.

IMG_4726.JPG

Egyptian Goose with all the little ones ahead on the river late afternoon throwing light off the reeds on opposite bank affording some amazing reflections on both the grasses and the goose family.

Dead waterfowl now this I might add was over a distance to try identify what I was actually looking at, revealing amazing reflection as it floated between the reeds. Reeds within ponds are a problem in obtaining perfect reflection photography more often than not, this photo was pure fluke!

Wind rippling water another problem on larger body of water, it is always good to be out attempting different talents with lighting in nature at different times during the day. Thanks for joining me showing a few mirror reflections.

Beautiful reflections Joan, I also had to look twice to see what the dead waterfowl was. It must soon have become food for another animal or vulture.
Thank you for sharing your excellent photography as always!

Shocked it was a dead waterfowl something you actually don't see often, with so many birds around I have seldom witnessed this, yet they too go at some point in time.

Thanks for visiting, sure you have started preparations going into Easter Weekend and school holidays with visitors arriving to your BnB.

Experimenting with reflections always fun, not always successful.

Many features could be used living in cities after rain, with fountains, or ponds fun once you find.

Some of those vehicle shots are a little awkward yes...haha. It's the respectful and ethical way. I have my fair share of them too. It was worth the wiggling around!

Lovely reflections and perfect lighting, that last one is lovely ( Sorry, this hive thing is broken, I have been missing a lot of stuff, my "favourites feed" does no longer work, and when I look at an individuals blog no new uploads show! I only saw this and many others by clicking on a profile "all posts". and don't get me started on trying to withdraw HBD in savings to convert to Hive, that don't work either)

Our internet is totally up the spout, more often than not question the connection before the software although do encounter problems there as well.

Thanks for hunting my post down and have a better day!
