Lazy Sunday Afternoon

Take To The Sunlight Let's Burn, Burn, Burn....

Drifting through a lazy Sunday afternoon sitting in front of the screen after noon, finding my way through recent photography to share, super hot out there, sun that bites your skin!

Durban's switched up the heat for February, most dreaded month of the year, no grumble from under the aircon, hibernating once again. Please send loads of photos with snow, I'm waiting to enjoy....

Nothing remains, every time you walk out the door it's an experience totally fresh and new!

Please remember this is Durban mid summer, some flowers in bloom known as the Matchstick Bromeliad, fusion of beauty to inspire, these are in a pot in deep shade throughout the day!

This is what they look like after, makes for great contrast from early vibrant colours on offer.

Symmetry in nature, math equations to perfection from start to end of a bloom, symmetry connects much if you look closely.

Be it blooms or wings and things, symmetry is everywhere!

For the skirmish or scared of snakes, Olive Snake - (Lycodonomorphus inornatus) enjoying brunch in my garden, not venomous to humans normally nocturnal, a pleasure seeing and learning more from experts.

Now I have your attention with a noisy visitor sitting above my head, kok-kok-kok he said I replied close to sunset, now I know how to get some photography, talk back! Purple-crested Turaco (Lourie to South African's) (Gallirex porphyreolophus)

IMG_2914.JPG

Moon coming up in the East, followed by the sunset behind me, it has been a crazy week with a couple of days to kick off cooler, then dived back into hot African sun.

IMG_2932.JPG

Photography taken over the week, not able to regularly post it is a pleasure having electricity long enough to settle and enjoy going through recent events in my life.

Inspired by everything natural around, grab a camera, keep actively looking there is so much happening on a daily basis, thanks for visiting!

We all darken up or burn, even our Bantu burn, use umbrella or substantial hat to shade off the sun. Many who are outdoors for extended periods of time wear long sleeves, special clay used on face to stop burning.

I live for the winters here, summer is no fun, hope your health is improving.

Having a dog is the healthiest thing, they make sure you go out regularly irrespective of the weather!

Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful week ahead, hopefully not too hot for you as well.

!LUV to you and the family!

I looked at the snake twice and not longer than 5 seconds lol, even in the picture am scared of snakes Joan, it's that bad with me.

It was nice that the apartment we stayed in Umhlanga had aircon, the heat was too much at some point we had to put on the air condition.

I keep good distance, always chat to guys in forums to check on what snake I'm looking at for future reference. Not bad idea having a couple to take out the rats.

Hot wet blanket effect, you definitely hide from the heat here, very different to anywhere else I know.

Love the expression on the face of Mr Turaco. NOT on the snake

Snake had his mouth full, sorry could not show the grin after. Lourie is fast between trees, exceptionally handsome bird to chat to, made my day!

The images of the sunset particularly breathtaking. Your photos showcase the stunning diversity of nature. In my area, the heat is already intense by 7 in the morning. This is my first time seeing a real Matchstick Bromeliad flower, I loved it, hoping to those flower in person.

Been tough this summer with the heat, always hoping rain will arrive for a day or two to cool off once again, hope you cool down soon too.

Plant is easy to grown in our region, it is water wise requiring little attention once planted in a spot where it is happy.

Thanks for visiting, have a lovely day!

I stay away from snakes mostly whether venomous or not though I had a golden python around my neck and took a photo once.
