Know The Feeling

When time and tide waits for no one

Days will start getting hot, more hours for sun to scorch the earth, for now everything is alright, after the end of an exceptional snow dusting on the mountains inland, we got plenty rain along the coast.

IMG_5633.JPG

Clouds came over in waves of grey some heavier than others, one could look over the valley to see sheets of rain at times hitting the hills on the other side.

IMG_5635.JPG

Birds were few and far between, moving with wet wings is not easy, a bigger bird going over perhaps a short hunt for food.

IMG_5641.JPG

Wax flower popped open greeting the day,

IMG_5651.JPG

Baby sparrow and mom very busy feeding between the heavy rain endured, wobbling around reminding mom not too much for you, more for me!

IMG_5654.JPG

Insects appeared to be bathing on the petals of flowers enjoying short spells out too. Oh the flies become another nuisance along with mozzies in great numbers....

Waking to a brilliant sunshine morning in November

Looking forward, reminder life never stops nor changes to suit inhabitants, we step into line along with all everything.

IMG_5670.JPG

Yellow-bill kites swooped in a feeding frenzy to quick to capture, argy-bargy between kites with some crows, again at speed with sun blinding me I tried to capture something of the moment.

IMG_5674.JPG

Even on speed dial for shooting with camera these guys move fast....

IMG_5699.JPG

Turning attention lower down the tree with big and small birds erupting through, sometimes wonder how they don't crash!

IMG_5708.JPG

Swallows low shooting the trees, it must have been termites rising from the ground below, that is what normally gets some amazing feeding frenzies on the go over here.

IMG_5713.JPG

Tidying up feathers after that squawk, one has to see how crazy the birds become after three miserable wet days, then flying ants rise with the sun, it truly is amazing!

IMG_5716.JPG

Pied crow must have taken a knock, had to rest in the tree across the road, a bit of a long distant zoom, the big guy definite had to rest up waiting for the Kites to leave before raising on air once again.

Wishing one and all on Hive a successful month of November, let you heart be lighter, leave only footprints behind wherever you wander.

Still beautiful today, by the weekend I will sing another tune most probably as I really don't enjoy heat or humidity! It's that time of the year, anything can happen.

such a beautiful walk as it is warming up for you its cooling down here, I went out early as usual this morning but on getting out of the car for a walk the wind was blowing and the real feel was around freezing point, really felt it and got back in the car and skipped a walk today

It is so wonderful to see all that life around you. The wax flower is so beautiful. I don't know why, but it reminds me of some kind of a candy.
I am impressed by the birds. Of course. 😄 The baby sparrow might be very persistent.

Reminds you of candy and reminds me of undersea, shows how differently we all identify with what the eye captures.

Birds are ever present, would be amazing to capture with good equipment the frenzy of the birds when they get like this.

Just curious..where about are you located in South Afrika? I will be heading down soon and curious to see in which area this type of nature is to be found?

Living on South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal, each province is very unique in what is on offer.

Nature Reserves everywhere depending on what you looking for. Birding and animals are in abundance once out of cities, plan around tour groups when coming down this way for safety.

Planning trip for 4 adults would be cheaper to travel to King Shaka Airport, rent a car to self-drive up North Coast to St Lucia a two and a half hour trip. Only ever drive during daylight hours.

Renting accommodation in St Lucia as a base there are parks surrounding you in iSimangaliso Wetland Park.

Travel an hour approximately further north to Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve, or Mkhuze Game Rerserve all do offer accommodation if you don't wish to travel back to St Lucia same day with strict hours being allowed into parks.

I dont really have a general idea on where to go as yet, so working on the inventory of options where to go and what to do.

Loving when a plan will rise on the way

Amazing shot through the big tree, I love the sky above it.

Very uncommon to have snow in November in SA, I suppose it is nice to have it cool the weather.

May you have a lovely November.
