Frame In Frame Photo Quest

Searching Is Finding

"The frame frames a frame of mind." - John Paul Caponigro

Staying out rather inside the frame here of cold prison with framed photography looking on a pretty courtyard currently, when in use I doubt such a lovely photographic opportunity sprang to mind.

Himeville Fort a stone building originally built for Natal Police Border Patrol 1890, from 1896 to 1899 as the last loop-holed fort in Natal, converted into a prison from 1902 to 1972. Currently a museum

Rightly holding history in the right frame of mind, if one forgets ones past how do we know where we going?

Ex Unitate Vires "Union is strength" printed bottom of coat of arms of South Africa between 1910 and 2000, Coat of Arms representing the four provinces within the Union at the time, an ox-wagon - Transvaal Province, woman with an anchor - Cape Province, two wildebeest for Natal Province and an Orange Tree for Orange Free State.

Framed in Time

Old clock Sun Dial, earliest known way people learned to tell time of day was suns movement across the sky, shadow used to reflect movement of sun.

Captured sharing breakfast juice through a doorway! Framed in more ways than one....

Frame of archway a golf cart on it's way to clubhouse for a round on the greens, a very peaceful place to enjoy time out.

Frame of mind

Mental or emotional attitude or mood, as in You have to be in the right frame of mind to enjoy hiking in the rain. This idiom was first recorded in 1665.

Frame in frame a fun share, take my mind off life for a moment in my quest in a journey made in searching photography to fit the topic this week.

Having used frame in frame quite often never realizing it, learning terminology in photography is good, thanks for visiting.

That might be horrible to be locked away and being separated from the freedom just with a metal door, very depressive thought. The photo with sun clock is my favourite, can't stop wondering how people come to such idea. For us of course, it looks, difficult to read maybe that is hte reason why I like it.

Framed into an open shed across from prison is a horse drawn cart, prison must have been hard in those days as this place really gets cold being in mountain district.

Sun dials are fascinating a useful tool to know, using a stick with sun direction when out in the bush is something we were taught as children.

I love the history you cover in this post! I also love how you are "playing" with various frames and making them relevant to the theme! Well done!

Thanks for the invite! I am going to see if I can find some photos and be in time to enter before the deadline for this quest👍!
