Fired Up!

Walking Square Circles

Walking around the home many times a day the house is squared off so I can safely say I do walk square circles!

IMG_5240.JPG

Over past couple of days we have gone from extremely hard downpours, heavy wind, now blissful bright blue skies like often seen in the mountains.

IMG_5262.JPG

What transpires during these regular jaunts around the home, with thermals the storks taking themselves on their own magical journey of flight, circling together in ballet up above.

IMG_5246.JPG

Those magnificent men in their flying machines, they go up diddly up and coming down, doing it again and again, practicing pilots having fun against the clear blue!

IMG_5281.JPG

Tiny white-breasted sunbird dancing in hovering motion, sipping whilst singing between the blooming flowering tree.

IMG_5247.JPG

Dark side takes my mood on a tangent when hearing a chainsaw hacking down trees with a new arrival in the neighborhood. First a photo of the two trees in full bloom during November.

IMG_2289.JPG

Followed by demise of the flamboyant already down (red blooms). Yellow flowering tree I am not sure what it is, how sad a day for insects and bird life with another garden lacking trees for nesting/roosting gone!

IMG_5252.JPG

People believe 'totsis/skollies' (young lay-about, druggie or gangster) hide behind trees planning home invasion, this home has already had a midday burglar visiting, oh they are around at night as well. Exactly why one has to be on full alert at all times in a country poverty stricken, no use taking it out on the trees.

IMG_5285.JPG

Sunning themselves after the rains on the wall the lizard and mossie a couple of feet apart,

IMG_5254.JPG

who said life is not good to take some time off feeding or worrying about all the cacophony around.

IMG_5255.JPG

Clouds coming in all shapes, whispers on the wind to blow troubled minds, big tree the chainsaw gang will be busy with that for a couple of days yet driving me mad....

IMG_5280.JPG

Refreshing cool breeze making the walk even more so pleasant.

First ever sighting for me is spotted a Leopard Moth (Zerenopsis lepida) I know they are around eating away on my cycad plants.

IMG_5290.JPG

Seated on a plant I could not get closer so zoomed in unable to capture great shots, never worry it's striking colour caught my eye!

IMG_5291.JPG

Body beneath looks similar to wings, most gardeners will poison them, I let them be..., although I have lost a couple of cycads when caterpillars hatch out. Birds don't take them leaving them well alone perhaps poison within!

IMG_5284.JPG

As the sun drops low with dark clouds passing overhead a rippled effect in grays with streak of pink between, sorry about electricity lines they are annoying!

Thanks for joining me on my square circle walks over the past two days, some refreshing, other events aggravating, that is life I guess!

I think these shots are great! Especially the rain pelting down, like spears pelting the ground. What lovely skies afterward. Such a beautiful land.

Rain this heavy is a problem when prolonged, it does look amazing though I always enjoy watching a downpour.

Fascinating things outdoors always keep one busy, I do worry about the safety of the guys felling trees down over here, no safety gear as they should have....

Have a wonderful evening and thanks for visiting.

I'm sorry it's been days of bad weather and strong winds, dear friend @joanstewart
You can't believe that there are people who go out of their way to cut down trees, with everything they do for us and wildlife.
How relaxed the iguana and the little sparrow are, they enjoy the beautiful day.
I appreciate you sharing these beautiful shots of your square circle walk.
Have a beautiful afternoon

The Cape was badly impacted, we only had the outer tail lash through. I get very angry with trees being removed ad-hoc like this. At one time permission had to be granted before residents removed trees, normally alien trees only, now it is a free for all!

The outdoor family are all welcome so long as nothing stings or bites !LOLZ

How sad they move in and chop down the trees. I would have thought if people were going to have a home invasion they would do irrespective of whether trees are there.

Not good for nature and more damage to the ecosystem tho :(

When buying a property if you don't enjoy trees, find a garden that has none, simple philosophy!

Trees rooting system binds soil in a region where we suffer landslides during heavy rain. Guys removing the tree have no safety gear which is illegal yet ignored.

I think the extremely large one got the better of them and only able to remove a couple of limbs, not properly sealed either to prevent termites climbing in, another problem we have here.

So not only are they destroying natures defences with respect to landslides they use fluffing cowboys to do a half arsed job.

Neighbours eh!

Pretty well summed up, good walls make good neighbours, I would prefer to live out of suburbia completely....

The atmosphere is amazing, I love feeding birds at the royal palace, you know many of them hang out as a square which is so impressive to look at.

Have a nice day dear!

Follow money trail, connect the dots there is a lot one is able to research. Most this "influential reset mob" work hand in glove, none fought in WWII and have no moral standing! The ones treating people like mushrooms, lots of shit on top!

Is that guy up there in the tree working or just lazing around? I won't be surprised if he is a totsi.

I love that bird on the edge shot below the lizard, very beautiful!

No the guys were working, one man up the tree with chainsaw the other giving advice below, very dangerous with no safety taken into account.

Garden always alive with everything moving through the seasons.

I see, being up there without safety gears is a risk as much as I work at heights and am not scared of heights, I don't find climbing a tree safe but if it is an avocado tree I will do anything I can to climb safely for the avos.

Haha the swimming pool cleaner with net at the end works better than climbing a tree, that is how we did it at a friends home that had those gorgeous large round butter avos.

While my ex-colleagues were stealing the copper cables we worked with those days, I was busy stealing avocados from my boss's tree. He caught me red-handed one day and I sure looked like a thief but his family knew I was the one finishing all the avos.

One day I wasn't at work and my boss's wife said to my colleague

Joe finished all the avocados on the tree

😂

Beautiful memories! I would work for him again if I could. He was part of my visa processing and provided me with a recommendation letter.

We do and their impact on our lives remains with us for a long time. It is good to be kind always, better than being remembered negatively.
