East Coast Beer

Italian Twist

Immigrant families arrived in 1952 to a small coastal Umkomaas town, close to where I live. Broke but smart people they made the town home after most left Friuli, Italy to start a new future. Excellent Italian dishes are found dotted along the coastal villages mostly started as family businesses that have thrived since their arrival. Always enjoy the history attached to each business, delve around it's always there

Story of the East Coast Brewing Company is about a dream becoming reality for Rocco Fontana, acquiring knowledge, buying production equipment from around the world, shipping it back to start business. Quality shows through pure malt, internationally sourced hops, zero adjuncts, producing beer under strict purity laws ensuring pride and passion be continued through premium beer, where the breweries boasts one of the largest most advanced independently owned brewing facilities in Southern Africa.

Easy Lager

American Lager is the classic American adaption of the original Czech Pilsner and its global variation. Brewed as an all-malt beer, with two-row barley. Easy Lager

Big reveal what I found in taste testing, will let a secret out.., next time I will search for the bottled, not a fan of canned beer.

Crisp fresh tasting beer, definitely lived up to it's legacy of being refreshing and delightful to the palette on a hot afternoon. Most definitely one to enjoy under the moonlight well into the night.

Parting shot of Super Moon 29/09/2023, beer is golden liquid of the gods!

Our country is all 'foreigners' all except to San/KhoiSan peoples, the Italians have very strong influence in regions where they arrived. Most enjoyable places to explore around the village foods, beers, engineering, culture and the people themselves.

A wow shot of the moon!
That beer looks like one to have on a sunny day over here under the shade at the beach.
Not sure where my cousins are taking me out to but I am sure I will be having some beer tonight as we are all beer drinkers.

Have a wonderful evening.

Well, I have never tried beer and am not familiar with its flavour.
But the way you described it looks like it is so much fun.

Beer is not for everyone, but those who do enjoy will find it refreshing.

I like beer very much but I also prefer it bottled rather than canned.
And I love those stories of businesses with tradition, of people who came to a place and forged a better future for themselves and their families. Here we also had a great migration of that kind of Italians, Spaniards, and Portuguese.

Arrival of immigrants from variety of places in South Africa, all under different circumstances over the past three hundred years bringing an array of cultures, traditions, added to our very mixed heritage.

Beer is a very acceptable drink throughout except our Muslim community who do not partake for religious reasons.

We certainly have a rich history and a diverse culture in SA. Very interesting about the Italian folk who settled in SA.
My hubby and oldest son were always on the hunt for craft beer, and found many small breweries that produce excellent beers.
Cheers to a good weekend Joan (or rather Sunday, Saturday is almost over)🍻

Delving into history regularly is interesting with many of our products sold here becoming family favourites. Each business has a story attached bringing one to realize large was small before it became popular, the how and why.

Have a wonderful day rambling around Holland.

With the description and the photo of the cold beer mug and the heat we still have in the Caribbean has made me really want a beer right now. That one looks very delicious!!!

Hot countries the light beers are refreshing, cooler areas the thick malts warm you up, always a beer for every occasion.

Look, I didn't know that. I'm not much of a beer fan 😁. I just feel that a cold, foamy drink can instantly quench my thirst. I'll keep that in mind from now on. Thank you!!!!!🙏🍻

Beer is good to sip around a fire with moonlight above, quench the thirst between chatting.
