Dainty By Design

Vibrant Shifting Colors With Graceful Flight

We have experienced Inclement Weather of late from bright sunshine, followed by wind then rains, rain tends to be disruptive of late, no more so than life itself.

I suppose we look at life slightly differently, yet hanker back, songs that held meaning, words carry feelings of joy or sorrow depending how one looks at life. My first paycheck at the tender age of sixteen I bought LP Teaser and the Firecat, to me a positive song that hangs around in memories rejoicing first morning light.

"Cat Sevens wrote most his songs, exception was 'Morning Has Broken', which was actually a Christian hymn published all the way back in 1931, with words by Eleanor Farjeon and tune borrowed from a Scottish Gaelic song 'Bunessan'."

Dainty by design, some find silver or gold twisted into prettiest shapes, for me it's the living colours where beauty abounds. I appreciate elegant craftsmanship, alas not something we would wear today for fear of attack on person. When the sun does make an appearance the world comes alive once again, hanging my washing out to dry this little beauty visited.

Tackling events that affects us locally politicians don't help they hinder, busy politicking our country into disarray.

Tension is tangible with many not happy, each try to get along with daily life ignoring the division being sowed. I love my country, not the politicians who have inflicted many racial laws on minority population to endure over thirty years.

Vachellia xanthophloea, commonly known as the fever tree, is indigenous to South Africa

Drakensberg Prinia (Prinia hypoxantha) visiting here sitting so dainty in red Croton tree, (not sure of the identity), but then many times I see an unfamiliar face and do research with my books to try identify. Late afternoon facing another round of rain during the night.

Each morning promises something different or new, much like the cultures that run through our blood and nation, we all so different yet belong. Watching insects or birds, a constant reminder each has reason on this blue marble we call earth.

IMG_0110.JPG

Never afforded opportunity being in the limelight but take a look at how confident the Croton tree feels, flashing colours to delight all who pass. Thick foilage for many to seek refuge.

Graceful in hiding, a moth possibly laying eggs for next generation taking shelter from rain approaching, butterflies take shelter under the large leaves throughout the garden, many blend into surroundings you would not notice. Do families take enough time to tend to our future generation?

IMG_0189.JPG

Flowers small and inconspicuous, emerging from upper leaf axils in small clusters bring a promise of tomorrow, the leaves are the attraction to the eye seldom noticed. Not all show themselves in same manner, it never means they don't have the character, allowing them to bloom how they desire!

Wild skies approaching a couple of days ago with snow inland I'm enjoying the cool days, time to start cleaning cupboards, now alone, one has to set aside time to ensure more tasks are completed.

IMG_0155.JPG

Once again I bid you happy days ahead, will pop in whenever time allows. Similar to the skies above we go through emotions in South Africa, tackle each day one at a time. Soon vibrant days will return, with dainty by design flourishing feeding our hearts and mind.

Good morning, dear friend @joanstewart

It's a shame that politicians are so busy doing things wrong, making our lives more miserable. Fortunately, we have the beautiful things that nature and wildlife give us, a special charm that makes it worth living and enjoying.

Beautiful shots, I appreciate you sharing them with us.

Have a wonderful weekend.

No one can rob us of our inner joys and thoughts, good to share after week when dealing with some stupid local laws, almost blows my mind how a country is running with ignoramuses in control. Remind oneself to stay calm, ignore them.

Happy Sunday and trust your health is picking up with positive outlook you adopted.

Hey Missy! Always lovely to open my feed and see you in it.

Politics has just ruined everything. I think there has to be a new way. Being outside in nature does help take the weight off 🙂

Sanity found waddling around like an old duck through the garden, hope you adjusted well after the take off you endured.

Older we are more restraint to zip up required, extreme difficulty ignoring stupid with so many laws protecting them. Pissed off one has to swallow bitter pill, bite your lip, exit the building seek a place to simmer. 🙃

I know you guys living with slightly different, much the same, take a step back into the dark ages with the puppets pulling the strings.

That was a nice writting, very well graphically accompanied, I get astonished on how you're able to catch so many creatures around you, apparently so easily.
There's nothing as calming and self-confidence providing that being synchronized with life, you look rather in this way, I see.
Thanks for sharing your interesting and sensitive thoughts with us.
Have a wonderful weekend Joan 🤗

Not nice that the rain in KZN of late brings with it floods etc, last week's rain had some places flooded with strong winds ripping things off. Christchurch and Wellington was badly affected.

That last photo is epic 😎 👌

No control of nature, that dictates all the action whether we like it or not. It's in trying to clean up after with all the muck washed down from inland, then assisting those who have little to nothing most times.

Heard you guys had loads of rain going through, perhaps a cooler winter this year although back to 30C today once again.
