In the countryside, when the fog begins to lift and sunlight starts to dominate the landscape, things change. The scenery becomes more complex, and even the paths reveal much more than they did when the fog enchanted them with its veil of mystery. And I, personally, am fascinated by that moment when lingering wisps of fog remain like ghosts caught in the air, weaving through the vegetation or settling on the pastures and plowed fields. I love those moments precisely because of the cornucopia of light and romance that unfolds just as it happens. And I confess that at that moment it's difficult to think about black and white photos, because the golden tones emanating from the sun and the greens of the foliage being illuminated are truly beautiful. But you know me; you've seen my photos before, so you know that I like to understand the forms, the spaces, and the contrasts until I find the spirit of the scenes I observe. And that's how I end up doing photographic series like these, where the countryside reveals its essence in a way that's different from how it would appear to the naked eye...

En el campo, cuando la niebla comienza a marcharse y a la luz solar comienza a imponerse en el paisaje; las cosas cambian, y los paisajes se hacen más complejos, e incluso los caminos muestran mucho más de lo que mostraban cuando la niebla los hechizaba con su velo de misterios. Y a mi, personalmente, me fascina ese momento en el que algunos restos de niebla quedan como fantasmas sorprendidos en el aire; entremetiéndose en la vegetación o posándose sobre los pastizales y las tierras aradas. Y me gustan esos momentos precisamente por la cornucopia de luces y de romanticismo que se despliega justo cuando eso sucede. Y confieso que en ese momento es difícil pensar en fotos en blanco y negro, porque los tonos dorados emanados del sol y los verdes del follaje iluminándose, son en realidad hermosos. Pero ustedes me conocen, ya han visto mis fotos antes, entonces saben que me gusta entender las formas, los espacios y los contrastes hasta encontrar el espíritu de las escenas que observo. Y es así como termino haciendo series fotográficas como estas, en donde la campiña muestra su esencia de una manera distinta a como se vería a ojo desnudo...
