Nine o'clock in the morning is usually the time when the sun begins to evaporate the fog in the streets of my hometown... Around that hour the fog gets fainter and seems to move away parsimoniously towards the outskirts of the village while the sunlight tries to penetrate its layers to start warming the streets of the town... In these hours, which could already be called “mid-morning”, some of the newer streets in the east of the town are transformed into real canvases full of shapes, lights and shadows. These are streets covered with a certain visual chaos and some ugliness typical of towns that grow without a correct urban plan and with a very bad sense of visual aesthetics easily perceptible... Then, in the midst of all that intermingling of lights, shadows, elements and street chaos, I usually appear from time to time with my camera in my hand portraying everything “without haste or pause”... 😉

Las nueve de la mañana es por lo general la hora en la que el sol comienza a evaporar la niebla en las calles de mi pueblo... A esa hora la n8iebla se hace más tenue y parece alejarse parsimoniosamente hacia las afueras del pueblo mientras la luz solar intenta penetrar sus capas para comenzar a calentar las calles del pueblo... En esas horas, las cuales podrían ya llamarse "de media mañana", algunas calles más nuevas el Este del pueblo se transforman en verdaderos lienzos repletos de formas, luces y sombras. Son calles revestidas con cierto caos visual y alguna fealdad típica de los pueblo que crecen sin un plan urbanístico correcto y con muy mal sentido de la estética visual fácilmente perceptible... Entonces, en medio de todo ese entrevero de luces, sombras, elementos y caos de calle, suelo aparecer yo de vez en cuando con mi cámara en la mano retratando todo aquello "sin prisa ni pausa"... 😉

There are a lot of things happening there in addition to the stories always found in these street photos... For me this is to temporarily immerse myself in a world of backlights, of diverse and complex elements, arranged on the photographic plane in a random and changing way... The wires of the lighting seem to multiply on the back of the whitish light of the mist, while the sun shines on it once again... The vehicles seem to have traveled from decades past and, as a friend of mine is wont to say: “in these streets it always seems like the 90's”... The town seems to want to wake up, the smells of fried food, the noise of the motorcycles, the people walking as if on repeat, the doors of the stores starting to open... Everything here in this “newer” part of town seems to want to wake up as the fog disappears from the streets in the middle of the morning...

Hay un montón de cosas ocurriendo allí además de las historias propias siempre encontradas en estas fotos de calle... Para mi esto es sumergirme temporalmente en un mundo de contraluces, de elementos diversos y complejos, dispuestos en el plano fotográfico de una manera azarosa y cambiante... Los cables del alumbrado parecen multiplicarse al reverso de la luz blanquecina de la niebla despidiéndose, mientras el sol la fulmina una vez más... Loas automóviles parecen haber viajado desde décadas pasadas y, tal como acostumbra a decir un amigo mío: "en estas calles tempranos siempre parecen los 90"... El pueblo parece querer despertarse, los olores a frituras, el ruido de las motocicletas, las personas caminando como repetidas, las puertas de los comercios comenzando a abrir... Todo aquí en este espacio "más nuevo" del pueblo, parece querer activarse en la medida en la que la niebla desaparece de las calles a mitad de la mañana...
