I'm an early riser, so yesterday around 8:00 AM I went to bed and, after meditating for a while, I fell asleep. However, it was quite hot at that hour, so I left the door and windows of our room wide open, hoping the cool night air would come in and cool the room as much as possible. I also turned on an old electric fan that my wife and I jokingly call "Brrrrrrrruuu" because of the sound it makes while it's running 😂... My wife, by the way, usually sleeps in later, since she and my daughter like to have dinner later and then chat or watch TV until after 11 PM. Anyway, at exactly 3:40 AM, I woke up feeling very cold, especially in my feet, which felt practically numb. I turned my head and saw my wife's silhouette wrapped in a thick blanket; I, on the other hand, had gone to sleep without even a sheet to cover myself. I grabbed my phone from the small table on my side of the bed, and when I checked Google, I saw that it was reported to be 16°C in Montalbán at that moment, and when I looked toward our bedroom door, I could even see a bit of fog drifting in through the wide, open hallway of our house. My reaction was one of astonishment, and immediately I thought, "How did we go from the annoying, excessive heat of the night to this low temperature in the early morning?" I unfolded another thick blanket that was at the foot of my side of the bed and turned off the "Brrrrrrruuu" (a slang term for a loud, slurped sound) before snuggling up and trying to regain my usual body temperature 😆. I know 16°C isn't too cold, but for someone like me, used to always warmer temperatures, this isn't exactly pleasant... While trying to fall back asleep, I started planning my morning, so a little before 6:00 AM I was already up, drinking a cup of hot coffee, and after that I grabbed my camera and my old bicycle and the three of us headed towards the rural areas south of town when the daylight was just getting enough to see through the fog. That's how I was able to take these photos. The fog lingered in the valley until almost 10:00 AM, and it was only then that the warmth began to return...

Soy un hombre de dormir desde horas tempranas, así que ayer cerca de las 08:00 AM me fui a la cama y después de meditar un poco, me quedé dormido. Sin embargo, a esas horas el calor ambiental era notable y dejé la puerta y las ventanas de nuestra habitación abiertas de par en par, con la intención de que el aire fresco de la noche penetrase y refrescase en lo posible el interior. También puse a funcionar un viejo ventilador eléctrico al cual mi esposa y yo llamamos jocosamente ""Brrrrrrrruuu" por el sonido que hace mientras funciona 😂... Mi esposa, por cierto, suele dormir después, pues ella y mi hija gustan de cenar más tarde y luego suelen charlar o ver TV hasta después de las 11 PM. EL caso fue qué, excactamente a las 3:40 AM desperté sintiendo mucho frío, especialmente en mis pies, los cuales sentía prácticamente entumecidos. Giré mi rostro y vi la silueta de mi esposa envuelta en una gruesa cobija, yo por el contrario, me había echado a dormir sin siquiera una sábana para arroparme. Tomé mi móvil de la pequeña mesa en mi lado de la cama, y al ver en Google observé que se reportaban 16°C para Montalbán en ese momento, y cuando miré hacia la puerta de nuestra habitación, pude incluso observar la presencia de un poco de niebla entrando por el amplio corredor abierto de nuestra casa. Mi reacción fue de asombro, y de inmediato pensé: ¿Cómo hemos podido pasar del molesto y excesivo calor nocturno, a esta temperatura tan baja en la madrugada?, desdoblé otra gruesa cobija que estaba a los pies de mi lado de la cama y como apagué a "Brrrrrrrruuu" para luego acurrucarme y procurar recuperar mi temperatura corporal acostumbrada 😆. Ya sé que 16°C no es demasiado frío, pero para alguien como yo, acostumbrado a temperaturas siempre mayores, esto no es del todo agradable... Mientras intentaba volver a tomar el sueño, comencé a planificar mi mañana, así que un poco antes de las 6:00 AM ya estaba de pie, bebiendo una taza de café caliente, y después de eso tomé mi cámara y mi vieja bicicleta y "nos fuimos los tres" hacia las tierras rurales al sur del pueblo cuando la luz día día comenzaba a ser suficientemente para poder ver en medio de la niebla. Entonces, así fue como pude hacer estas fotos. La niebla estuvo en el valle casi hasta las diez de la mañana, y fue solo entonces cuando comenzó a volver el calor nuevamente...
