This time I refer to these photos as "My windows" because I have looked at each one of these windows all my life.... I grew up and have lived all my life in this town, so I know its old windows. I have seen them when they were preserved and the facades that hold them were solid and pristine. Now many of them have aged, they are lonely and are gradually falling into ruins due to the passing of time and the harshness of the weather...

I have done this work differently. I evolve from time to time and ideas start dancing in my head until they become reality. So I decided to put into practice something I had been imagining for months. This was: "Photographing the windows in a partial way and giving space and presence to their environment"...

The colours, the shapes, the textures... Everything plays an important role in this project of mine to photograph the window in a more eloquent and composite way. This is like saying on my part: "The window is more than itself, it is also everything that surrounds it"... I confess that I learned a lot of new things regarding the inclusion of elements in the photographic plane. So materialising this photographic vision has made me evolve as a street photographer one step further. This is a good thing, because you never stop growing and changing when it comes to taking pictures on the streets.

Más allá del aspecto fotográfico, debo confesar que me he divertido mucho haciendo ese tipo de trabajo. También me he percatado de cuantas memorias tengo en relación con algunas de estas ventanas. Creo que podría escribir una historia para más de la mitas de esta docena de fotos...

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... The shots are then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.
