Today I woke up at 3:50 AM. I know this because I checked the time on my phone... I don't use an alarm to wake up. I usually go to bed between 8:00 and 9:00 AM, so it's quite normal for me to be up before 5:00 AM. But today I woke up earlier than usual, so I stood up, being careful not to make any noise and thus avoid disturbing my wife (although in reality the world could fall around her and she probably wouldn't wake up 😂). I went out into the hallway of our house and immediately noticed a pile of fog silently hanging in the garden. Just at that moment, it occurred to me that it would be an excellent morning to go for a walk south of town, towards the rural roads of that part of the municipality called "Agua de Obispo"...

Hoy desperté a las 03:50 AM, lo sé porque revisé la hora en mi móvil... No uso alarma para despertar. Por lo general suelo irme a la cama entre 08:00 y 09:00 AM, así que es muy normal para mi, estar de pie antes de las 5:00 AM. Pero hoy desperté más temprano de lo habitual, así que me puse en pie teniendo cuidado de no hacer ruidos y así evitar molestar a mi esposa (aunque en realidad el mundo podría caer a su alrededor y ella seguramente no despertaría 😂) salí al corredor de nuestra casa y de inmediato observé un montón de niebla silenciosamente suspendida en el jardín. Justo, en ese momento, me vino a la mente que sería una mañana excelente para ir a caminar al sur del pueblo, hacia las carreteras rurales de esa parte del municipio llamada "Agua de Obispo"...

I made a delicious cup of coffee and fed my dogs, who kept looking at me with some annoyance, since even for them it was too early to be awake 😂... I also fed my cats, who happily received a generous portion of cat kibble before their usual time 😹... Cats seem to be able to eat at any time and as many times as they are fed!... After that, I dedicated myself to checking the weather page to confirm that there was no rain forecast and at the same time noting that dawn would be around 5:40 AM, I left a note for my wife, grabbed my camera and left my house to walk slowly through the streets of the town, covered in fog, but already with some people awake walking quietly here and there... The walk to the outskirts of town is about fifteen blocks. So, when I started walking towards "Agua de Obispo", it was already light enough to start taking pictures...

Me preparé una deliciosa taza de café y di de comer a mis perros, los cuales no dejaban de verme con cierto fastidio, pues incluso para ellos era demasiado temprano para estar despiertos 😂... También di de comer a mis gatos, quienes si recibieron gustosamente una generosa ración de croquetas para gatos antes de su hora habitual 😹... ¡Los gatos parecen poder comer a cualquier hora y todas las veces que se les de comida!... Después de eso, me dediqué a revisar la pagina del clima para confirmar que no hubiese pronóstico de lluvia y al mismo tiempo anotar que la alborada sería alrededor de las 05:40 AM, dejé una nota para mi esposa, tomé mi cámara y salí de mi casa para caminar lentamente por las calles del pueblo, cubiertas de niebla, pero ya con algunas personas despiertas caminando calladas aquí y allá... El recorrido hasta las márgenes del pueblo es de unas quince calles. Así que, cuando comencé a caminar hacia "Agua de Obispo", ya había suficiente claridad como para comenzar a hacer fotos...

To my surprise, I found many people on the road, some out exercising very early in the morning and others going to town or to their jobs in the fields, either on foot or on four-wheeled vehicles or even motorcycles... However, the best of all, was the fog, which today (because I took these photos today, September 1st) seemed to be extremely dense and, the further south I went, the thicker it seemed to get... Wonderful for taking photos, indeed!... So I set about doing just that, while most people walked by and waved to me, I continued taking lots of photos of the road, the grasslands on the sides and any interesting detail that caught my eye...

Para mi sorpresa, encontré muchas personas en en la carretera, algunos ejercitándose desde muy temprano y otros yendo al pueblo o a sus trabajos en el campo, ya sea a pie, o en vehículos de cuatro ruedas e incluso motos... Sin embargo, lo mejor de todo, era la niebla, la cual hoy (porque estas fotos las hice hoy 1ro. de Septiembre) parecía estar extremadamente densa y, cuanto más al sur me desplazaba, parecía aumentar incluso más su espesura... ¡Una maravilla para hacer fotos, ciertamente!... Así que me dediqué a hacer eso, mientras la mayoría de las personas pasaba de largo y me saludaba, yo seguí haciendo un montón de fotos del camino, los pastizales en los márgenes y de cualquier detalle interesante que llamase mi atención...

"Agua de Obispo" is essentially a rural area south of the urban center of Montalbán. Its lands are still used for livestock farming and the cultivation of various crops for human consumption and animal feed. There is also a small hamlet along the road about 3 km from the town. This was the land where the first settlers who arrived in this valley settled. However, they were later forced to build the town on higher ground, less prone to flooding. Thus, this area has remained a distinctly rural place to this day.

"Agua de obispo" es básicamente un área rural al sur del casco urbano de Montalbán, sus tierras siguen siendo usadas para ganadería y el cultivo de diversos rubros de consumo humano y para forraje animal, también existe un pequeño caserío siguiendo por la carretera a unos 3 Km del pueblo, estas fueron las tierras en donde se asentaron los primeros colonos que llegaron a este valle. Pero luego se vieron obligados a construir el pueblo en áreas más altas y menos propensas a ser afectadas por inundaciones. Así fue como esta área continuó siendo hasta hoy por hoy, un lugar netamente rural...
