When I was a child and I asked my grandmother, "Tell me where the fog comes from in the mornings?"... With a smile on her face, she would invariably reply, "It comes along the lagoon road!" 😀... That was half a century ago, and when my grandmother answered, she would point to the southeast of the town...

Technically speaking, my grandmother wasn't wrong at all, as in fact, almost all of the fog banks that reach the valley of this town do so from the southeast. This is because the mountain ranges surrounding the valley are much lower in that direction, and this facilitates the descent of the cold, moisture-laden air, which turns into fog and generally covers much of the town and its surroundings. So, going to this place in the early hours of the day always promises bucolic landscapes where fog and nature seem to conspire to make for good photographs...

It's basically a dirt road that runs out of town and borders it for a couple of kilometers. Its most striking feature is the presence of a fairly large lagoon, whose waters are used by nearby farmers to irrigate their crops. These are private lands, and during the planting months for crops like corn and tobacco, they're usually guarded by armed guards, so it's good to have permission from at least one of the owners to ride there. However, a few days ago I decided to take a quick bike ride toward that road and found it absolutely deserted and covered in fog, with the sun trying to break through the dense atmosphere. It's always lovely when this place looks like this in the mornings; I love taking pictures here!...😉

That day I visited that place with the intention of taking some photos to later experiment with a "cross-processing" simulation, the results of which you can see by CLICKING ON THIS LINK, but since I also took a good number of additional photos, I wanted to select a few and do this more natural editing work on them to also share them with you today here on #Hive. I hope you liked these...🙂

These are beautiful shots and I love grandma for trying so much to bring you to the understanding of how the fog comes by, I really wonder how life is for those who work daily on the tobacco farm.

It's beautiful and i think can feel the cold in the area because of the fog. So same here like this.

The lake view where the fog adds mystery almost resembles a painting. This quiet and peaceful state of nature touches the human soul. Such moments feel like time is slowing down
