It's strange, but I'm beginning to need some morning without fog. And yet, I continue to give in to the bewitchment of the dense, whitish morning atmosphere. I do it because I love to look at my streets having something to tell as the fog envelops them. Or even, I do it because sometimes, some streets have nothing to tell except their silence... This July has been of almost daily rains especially in the afternoons. Then during the night and early morning it stops raining and masses of humid and warm air invade the valley, turning then into fogs that seem to get into every corner of the village, even inside the same houses... These, my photos of today, are then “Streets with...” 📷

Es extraño, pero estoy comenzando a necesitar alguna mañana sin niebla. Y sin embargo, continúo cediendo al hechizo de la atmósfera matutina densa y blanquecina. Lo hago porque amo mirar mis calles teniendo algo que contar mientras las envuelve la niebla. O incluso, lo hago porque algunas veces, alguna calle, no tiene nada que contar salvo más que su silencio... Este Julio ha sido de lluvias casi diarias especialmente en las tardes. Entonces durante la noche y la madrugada deja de llover y masas de aire húmedo y tibio invaden el valle, convirtiéndose luego en nieblas que parecen meterse en cada rincón del pueblo, incluso dentro de las mismas casas... Estas, mis fotos de hoy, son entonces "Calles con..." 📷

You see... It may be too many foggy mornings in some months, yes... But at the same time it is something impossible for me to overlook, so I go out to the streets, the same streets as always, and like an obsessive I portray them with my camera, while I mentally hold a surreal dialogue with the scene that unfolds before my eyes... Twenty years ago I used to wake up to get in my car and drive more than 60 minutes to my office. And many times on the road I was forced to drive through fog in some stretches. Then I would think things like, “Beautiful fog, I'd like to be on the streets of town or in the hills around town, not stuck in this car on my way to an office full of problems”... So, after all, here I am doing what I wanted to do then and couldn't... And the fog and I are allies in a kind of symbiosis. No matter how often I sometimes visit too often, the fog always makes new stories appear for me...

¿Lo ven?... Puede que en algunos meses sean demasiadas mañanas con niebla, sí... Pero al mismo tiempo es algo imposible para mi de pasar por alto, así que salgo a las calles, las mismas calles de siempre, y como un obseso las retrato con mi cámara, mientras mentalmente sostengo un dialogo surrealista con casa escena que se despliega ante mis ojos... Veinte años atrás me despertaba para subir a mi auto y manejar más de 60 minutos hasta mi oficina. Y muchas veces en la carretera me veía obligado a atravesar la niebla en algunos tramos. Entonces pensaba cosas como: "Hermosa niebla, me gustaría estar en las calles del pueblo o en las colinas alrededor de este, y no encerrado en este auto rumbo a una oficina repleta de problemas"... Así que, después de todo, aquí haciendo lo que en aquel entonces quería hacer uy no podía... Y la niebla y yo somos aliados en una especie de simbiosis. Sin importar que a veces nos visite con demasiada frecuencia, la niebla siempre hace aparecer nuevas historias para mi...
