If there is one thing I can say about the streets of my town, it is that they have the strange virtue of being able to produce photographic opportunities in a seemingly endless way. When I started doing street photography I assumed that in a few months I would run out of things to photograph in this handful of streets. But here I continue, more than 15 years later, doing this almost daily and not having yet had even a single day in which I returned without some street shots saved in the memory of my camera... This selection of photos which I share with you today on #Hive are from my “photographic harvest” of the last 7 days. I invite you to go ahead in this publication and enjoy once again my photos and their little stories...

Si algo puedo decir de las calles de mi pueblo, es que tienen la extraña virtud de poder producir oportunidades fotográficas de manera al parecer interminable. Cuando comencé hacer fotografía callejera supuse que en unos pocos meses agotaría las cosas para fotografiar en este puñado de calles. Pero aquí continúo, más de 15 años después, haciendo esto casi a diario y sin haber tenido aún ni siquiera un solo día en el cual yo volviese sin varias fotografías callejeras guardadas en la memoria de mi cámara... Esta selección de fotos las cuales comparto con ustedes hoy en #Hive pertenecen a mi "cosecha fotográfica" de los últimos 7 días. Lo invito entonces a segur adelante en esta publicación y disfrutar una vez más de mis fotos sus pequeñas historias...

After all this time taking pictures in the streets of my village, I became part of the everyday landscape. So more and more things around me keep happening without my presence influencing it too much. This is, from my point of view, a wonderful thing which allows me to be a pure witness of what happens in this place on a daily basis. But, at the same time, I also feel intimately reflected in all my photos. It is difficult to put into words the sense of belonging that one can have in the images that one captures. But over time I have come to understand that not everyone looks at the streets of the village in the same way as I do. So that's when I can say that these are “my photos of the streets of Montalbán”...

Después de todo este tiempo haciendo fotografías en las calles de mi pueblo, me convertí en parte del paisaje cotidiano. Así que cada vez más las cosas a mi alrededor siguen ocurriendo sin que mi presencia influya demasiado en ello. Esto es, desde mi punto de vista, una cosa maravillosa la cual me permite ser testigo puro de lo que ocurre en este lugar a diario. Pero, al mismo tiempo, yo también me siento íntimamente reflejado en todas mis fotos. Es difícil poner en palabras la sensación de pertenencia que se puede llegar a tener en las imágenes que uno capta. Pero con el tiempo he entendido que no todos miran las calles del pueblo de la misma manera como yo las miro. Entonces es ahí donde puedo decir sin miramientos que estas son "mis fotos de las calles de Montalbán"...

_{ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
