I take so many photos, I have so many photos in my archives, I have these photos so close, it is enough for me to go out into the street and there are a lot of images happening without ever stopping, always moving forward, one giving birth to another, as if it were a single being with its own life, recreating itself every time a part of itself dies and disappears...

Hago tantas fotos, tengo tantas fotografías en mis archivos, tengo estas fotos tan cerca, me basta con salir a la calle y allí están un montón de imágenes sucediendo sin detenerse nunca, siempre hacia adelante, unas pariendo a otras, como si se tratase de un único ser con vida propia recreándose a si mismo cada vez que una parte de él muere y desaparece...

Sometimes I get theistic ideas about all this and I imagine a loving and kind God who has arranged everything in such an orderly way that I spend the days of my life surrounded by pictures, which I steal from reality and pack in my camera...

Algunas veces se me ocurren ideas teístas acerca de todo esto y me imagino a un Dios querendón y amable quien ha dispuesto todo así, todo muy bien ordenado como para que yo pase los días de mi vida rodeado de fotos, las cuales robo a la realidad y encierro en mi cámara...

At other times I conclude against this "dual theism" and it occurs to me that I created all this myself, that somehow I am a being existing on a different plane and I closed my eyes and began to imagine an identity, my name, my form with guts, bones and breath. But that in reality this is all something I imagined, or which perhaps I am dreaming and it seems to be happening. Then, sometimes, when I wander through the streets these ideas confront each other and end up leaving me with no possible conclusion.

Otras veces concluyo en contra de ese "teísmo dual" y se me ocurre pensar que todo esto lo creé yo mismo, quien de alguna manera soy un ser existente en un plano distinto y cerré mis ojos y comencé a imaginar una identidad, mi nombre, mi forma con vísceras, huesos y aliento. Pero que en realidad todo esto es algo que imaginé, o lo cual quizás estoy soñando y parece que estuviese sucediendo. Entonces, a veces, cuando deambulo por las calles esas ideas se enfrentan una a la otra y terminan por dejarme sin conclusión posible.

These are definitely strange thoughts. And in the midst of them I ask myself questions like: Can something imaginary last so long? Then I immediately answer myself things like: Even time and its measure can be imaginary!... Then days, years, hours, all cease to be valid parameters to take for granted this presumed reality, which I believe happens to me every day...

Son pensamientos definitivamente extraños. Y en medio de ellos me hago preguntas como: ¿Puede durar tanto tiempo algo imaginario?. Entonces de inmediato me contesto cosas como: ¡Aún el tiempo y su mesura pueden ser imaginarios!... Y así los días, los años, las horas, todos dejan de ser parámetros validos para dar por sentada esta realidad presunta, la cual creo me ocurre a diario...
