STREET SURFACES - Street photography from Montalbán, Carabobo, Venezuela

I have decided to make "STREET SURFACES" one of my recurrent formats to share my street photographs. I am aware that this type of photography has become an integral part of my photographic inventory and I have already caught myself taking pictures like these almost instinctively and without thinking about it. So this deserves to be considered by me as one of my formats for publishing... ;)

This is a type of photography which proposes a (from my point of view) very abstract vision of the street environment. It is about "getting closer" and observing what is on the street in a very intimate way. It is something that affects my psyche enough to dedicate myself to title these photos in a rather strange way... Honestly, it's a type of photographic content that I really enjoy managing and then publishing for you. Even something as mundane as looking at these photos in colour and then looking at them in black and white always adds something new to my perception of photography as a particular therapy...

Another thing I love is the diversity possible in the development of this publication format for my photos... Almost everything contains a surface!... It is enough just to sharpen the look and to understand the photographed element, to look for that space where it "speaks" and once discovered, to "Click" and to steal it inside an image which fits in what I build here...

BLACK AND WHITE VERSIONS!

utcats.jpg

Yes, of course... I need to see and share these black and white photos!.... Everything in the street that has textures, shapes, drama, contrast and the like.... It's something that deserves to be seen in colour and then in black and white.... I like them in colour because "they speak of what I saw in the street"... But I also like them in black and white (or any other monochromatic variation) because they "speak to what I meant when I chose them in the street"... So these photos take on a more holistic meaning for me as far as my need to take them is concerned...

My parents knew how to paint... My father (deceased) used to paint with oil on canvas and other techniques and my mother used to paint on ceramics and with chalks on paper (pastel technique)... But me, as much as I tried, I was never good at painting... My father used to say to me "You have excellent ideas, but not much talent to put them on canvas"... Fortunately my father was able to see a lot of my photographic work during the last 10 years of his life and he used to say nice things to me like "Son, you finally found your brushes" and then he would smile... I guess that's one of the things that still drives me to take pictures almost daily and then edit them and share them...

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... The shots are then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.

It's natural and we often find this kind of thing, but this is different, especially when decorated with meaningful words from writing and we come across some truly beautiful black and white photos, bro @jlinare

Usually people aren't interested in this kind of stuff, which makes your work valid. Showing what people don't see is important. greetings bro.

Es increíble la metamorfosis que sufren estas fotos cuando las dejas solo en blanco y negro , es increíble , es magia !!

It is incredible the metamorphosis that these photos undergo when you leave them only in black and white, it is incredible, it is magic!!

Simplicidad y estética en motivos que para la gente común no tiene valor, pero que a través del lento del fotógrafo resurgen como "cosas" nuevas.
