It is March and the streets of the town seem to wake up from very early hours submerged in a dense and parsimonious heat, the summer seems to stick to my body during my morning walks, the air is lukewarm, airtight and perceptibly diminished of oxygen. But despite the uncomfortable weather, the streets are still a cornucopia of scenes, an inexhaustible sequence of visions that compel me to sharpen my gaze, wait for the moment and take an accurate shot in which everything that is observed is stored in the camera... That's how I see this... And this kind of “poetic license” that I find in the exquisite street complexity, is perhaps the reason and the motivation for me to be here, dragged by the inertia of the days after what I feel is the equator of my days, trying to use all this as a catalyst that reveals the scene that I really hope and long to observe, the ultimate scene, the one that frees me from my mistakes, fears and attachments... I invite you then to take a look at my street photos of today, these that I bring to share with you and that are also my catharsis and my daily yoga...

Es Marzo y las calles del pueblo parecen despertar desde horas muy tempranas sumidas en un calor denso y parsimonioso, el estío parece pegarse a mi cuerpo durante mis caminatas matutinas, el aire es tibio, estanco y disminuido de oxigeno en forma perceptible. Pero a pesar del incomodo clima, las calles siguen siendo una cornucopia de escenas, una secuencia inagotable de visiones que conminan a aguzar la mirada, esperar el momento y hacer un disparo certero en el cual todo aquello que se observa quede guardado en la cámara... Así veo esto... Y esta especie de "licencia poética" que encuentro en la exquisita complejidad callejera, es quizás la razón y el motivo de que yo me encuentre aquí, arrastrado por la inercia de los días posteriores a lo que presiento el ecuador de mis días, procurando usar todo esto como un catalizador que revele la escena que en realidad espero y ansío observar, la escena última, la que me libere de mis equivocaciones, miedos y apegos... Los invito entonces a mirar mis fotos callejeras de hoy, estas que traigo para compartir con ustedes y que también son mi catarsis y mi yoga cotidiano...

It is important for me to find in my photographs something that reveals me, transforms me and at the same time makes me feel like I am creating... You already know, or at least those of you who follow my #Hive blog and read my writing know: “I use my photos as part of my effort to change and know myself”... I've been doing this for a couple of decades I think, and I've discovered that I can speak to myself through the mental space that happens in me when I'm out on the streets taking photos... So, all this goes a bit beyond the image itself and moves as me, in a constant back and forth of inquiry and revelation... This is a little bit my very particular version of “Philosopher's Stone” I guess... ;)

Es importante para mi encontrar en las fotografías algo que me revele, me transforme y al mismo tiempo me haga sentir creando... Ya ustedes lo saben, o cuando menos aquellos que siguen mis blog en #Hive y leen cuanto escribo, lo saben: "Uso mis fotos como parte de mi empreño en cambiar y conocerme"... He estado un par de décadas haciendo esto creo, y he descubierto que puedo hablarme a mi mismo a través del espacio mental que sucede en mi cuando voy por las calles haciendo fotos... Entonces, todo esto va un poco más allá de la imagen en sí y se mueva como yo, en un constante ir y venir de indagación y revelación... Esto es un poco mi versión muy particular de "Piedra Filosofal" supongo... ;)
