Hello dear #Hive friends!.... Welcome to another edition of my street photography series. Today I wanted to share with you a type of photography which is very special to me, it's about those lovely friends that always appear when I go out to take pictures, the lovely dogs!.... And the fact is that going out in my town and not coming across dogs in the streets is practically impossible.

¡Hola queridos amigos de #Hive!... Bienvenidos a otra edición de mi serie de fotografía callejera. Hoy quise compartir con ustedes un tipo de fotografías las cuales son muy especiales para mi, se trata de esos encantadores amigos que siempre aparecen cuando salgo a hacer fotografías, ¡los encantadores perros!... Y es que salir en mi pueblo a la calle y no toparse con perros en las calles, es algo prácticamente imposible.

They come in all types... Small, big, furry, short-haired, neat, not so neat, playful, cantankerous, purebred and mongrel... In my streets we have dogs to choose from!... And it is very certain that, if you decide to walk around here, you will not walk a block without coming across one of these charming animals.

Los hay de todos los tipos... Pequeños, grandes, peludos, de pelo corto, aseados, no tan aseados, juguetones, cascarrabias, de raza y mestizos... ¡En mis calles tenemos perros para escoger!... Y es muy seguro que, si decides caminar por aquí, no recorrerás una cuadra sin toparte con uno de estos encantadores animales.

Since my childhood I have seen these streets full of dogs. I can also assure you that most of the people here love these animals... It is common to see containers with food and water placed in front of the houses to help the dogs... It is also common to see family dogs playing with the strays. I know that's not recommended, but that's the way it is here and has been for as long as I can remember. So maybe it's a difficult thing to change.

Desde mi niñez he visto estas calles repletas de perros. También puedo asegurar que la mayoría de las personas aquí aman a estos animales... Es común ver recipientes con comida y agua colocados en los frentes de las casas para ayudar a los perros... También es común ver a los perros de las familias jugando con los callejeros. Sé que eso es algo poco recomendable, pero así es aquí y así ha sido desde que tengo uso de razón. Así que quizás sea algo complicado de cambiar.

Being my hobby street photography and at the same time an unconditional lover of dogs (and cats too), then I feel very much at ease when I walk down the street and have the opportunity to photograph dogs, talk to them and even sit on the street and pet them. Over the years, dogs have become an important part of my daily "photographic catharsis".

Siendo mi afición la fotografía de calle y al mismo tiempo un amante incondicional de los perros (y de los gatos también), entonces me siento muy a gusto cuando voy por la calle y tengo la oportunidad de fotografiar perros, hablar con ellos e incluso sentarme en la calle y acariciarlos. Con el paso de los años, los perros se han convertido en parte importante de mi "catarsis fotográfica" de cada día.

Sometimes the dogs bark at me, they can even approach me in a threatening attitude... But I have never been bitten by a dog in the streets and these "skirmishes" only happen when it comes to dogs who rarely see me. But when it comes to the "local pack" (that's what we call the dogs in our neighbourhood and the others nearby) the relationship is always very good.

Algunas veces los perros me ladran, incluso pueden llegar a acercarse en actitud amenazante... Pero nunca he sido mordido por un perro en las calles y estas "escaramuzas" solo suceden cuando se trata de perros los cuales me ven pocas veces. Pero tratándose de la "manada local" (así le llamamos a los de nuestro vecindario y los otros cercanos) la relación es muy buena siempre.

I couldn't imagine my streets without dogs, nor would my street photography be complete without them. That's why today I wanted to make this post as a small tribute to my street friends. Although, to be honest, I don't think I can pay for all the joy they bring. I have memories since I was a child of very emblematic stray dogs, whose death caused real periods of sadness among the neighbours. But fortunately there are always plenty of dogs around.

I couldn't imagine my streets without dogs, nor would my street photography be complete without them. That's why today I wanted to make this post as a small tribute to my street friends. Although, to be honest, I don't think I can pay for all the joy they bring. This post is my entry to today's #monomad challenge.... I am really happy to have this space and to be able to share, besides my black and white photographs, also the personal aspects linked to this hobby.
