In days past, I shared here on #Hive a compilation of my most recent stray cat photos; so today I have felt, let's say, "a bit in debt" to my street dog friends and have taken some time to dedicate myself to selecting photos of these friendly little animals and doing the same as I did with their feline colleagues. After all, both (cats as well as dogs) are a fundamental part of my town's street landscape and, at the same time, inevitable protagonists in every photographic walk I take in these streets that I feel are mine. So here we go with my stray dog photos. I hope you enjoy them!...

En días pasados compartí aquí, en #Hive, una recopilación de mis fotos de gatos callejeros más recientes; así que hoy me he sentido, digamos, "un poco en deuda" con mis amigos perros de la calle y he tomado algo de tiempo para dedicarme a seleccionar fotos de estos simpáticos animalitos y hacer lo mismo que hice con sus colegas felinos. Después de todo, ambos (tanto gatos como perros) son parte fundamental del paisaje callejero de mi pueblo y, al mismo tiempo, protagonistas infaltables en cada caminata fotográfica que hago en estas calles que siento mías. Así que aquí vamos con mis fotos de perros callejeros. ¡Espero que las disfruten!

It is curious, but here the same thing happens with stray dogs as happens with cats. I mean that many of them are not exactly homeless dogs, since they are fed by the neighbors of each neighborhood, they give them names, and they even let them sleep in the hallways of houses, backyards, and garages during the nights; but they usually spend a large part of the day roaming the streets or even absent themselves from their usual streets for days and go roaming to other neighborhoods or even to rural areas. I have found dogs that I am used to seeing and even feeding on my street in places three or four kilometers beyond the town's urban center. Dogs do that, but cats certainly don't, wow! Because they always stay close to streets that are something like their "territory"...

Es curioso, pero aquí sucede lo mismo con los perros callejeros que con los gatos. Me refiero a que muchos de ellos no son exactamente perros sin hogar, pues son alimentados por los vecinos de cada barrio, les ponen nombres e incluso les dejan dormir en los zaguanes de las casas, patios traseros y garajes durante las noches; pero suelen pasar gran parte del día deambulando por las calles o incluso ausentarse de sus calles habituales durante días e irse a deambular a otros barrios o incluso a áreas rurales. Me he hallado perros que estoy acostumbrado a ver e incluso alimentar en mi calle en lugares a tres o cuatro kilómetros más allá del casco urbano del pueblo. ¡Eso sí que no lo hacen los gatos, caray! Pues ellos se mantienen siempre cerca de calles que son algo así como su "territorio"...

I don't know why, but dogs have always seemed more vulnerable to me than cats; it even seems to me that they are more dependent on humans than their feline counterparts. I say this because cats always seem to have a kind of "strategy" to have a good time on the street and they are rarely seen in a helpless or hungry situation; on the other hand, dogs, generally, look at me as if they were "needing something." I don't know, maybe it's just my imagination, but that's how it seems to me. But be that as it may, it is good to have them on the streets and they are always a reason to take interesting photos...

No sé por qué, pero los perros siempre me han parecido más vulnerables que los gatos; incluso me parece que son más dependientes de los humanos que sus contrapartes felinas. Lo digo porque los gatos siempre parecen tener una especie de "estrategia" para pasarla bien en la calle y rara vez se les ve en situación de indefensión o hambrientos; en cambio, los perros, por lo general, me miran como si estuviesen "necesitando algo". No sé, tal vez sea solo mi imaginación, pero así es como a mí me parece. Pero sea como sea, es bueno tenerlos en las calles y siempre son motivo para hacer fotos interesantes...

By the way, on the streets of my town—and this is something some of you who follow my content blog on #Hive must already know—I don't only find dogs and cats, but I can also come across birds, occasionally some cow, donkeys, horses and, more recently, "a turtle 🐢", which is something like my "bonus shot" of today for you... 😂

Por cierto, en las calles de mi pueblo—y esto ya algunos de ustedes que siguen mi blog de contenido en #Hive lo deben de saber—no solo encuentro perros y gatos, sino que también puedo toparme con aves, ocasionalmente alguna vaca, burros, caballos y, más recientemente, "una tortuga 🐢", la cual es algo así como mi "bonus shot" de hoy para ustedes... 😂
