This could be a purely photographic post; but those who follow my #Hive account will surely already know that for me the act of taking photos is intimately linked to my emotional side... And when it comes to stray dogs that goes to the highest extreme!... So when I have titled this publication "Street Angels" I mean it, because in those streets which I feel as my own, these wonderful creatures add a very special "accent of conscience". In fact, I am sure that they are there to make us better people, so much do we owe them without realising it...

Esta podría ser una publicación puramente de carácter fotográfico; pero aquellos que siguen mi cuenta en #Hive seguramente ya sabrán que para mi el hecho de hacer fotos está íntimamente ligado a mi lado emotivo... ¡Y tratándose de perritos callejeros eso llega a su extremo más alto!... Así que cuando he titulado esta publicación "Ángeles callejeros" lo hago muy en serio, pues en esas calles las cuales siento mías, estas criaturas maravillosas agregan un "acento de conciencia" muy especial. De hecho, estoy seguro de que están allí para hacernos mejores personas, así que es mucho lo que le debemos sin percatarnos de ello...

All these portraits of lovely stray dogs were taken earlier today; I want April by going out on the streets and taking these pictures, the sunlight was dimmed by not too dense clouds, so I thought that would surely help me to photograph these animals more appropriately using my old 55-300 mm zoom lens, which it turned out to be the case... Besides, these adorable dogs seemed to be everywhere more than usual. Here is impossible to understand the streets without our stray dogs; they are an important part of our town's ethnicity...

Todos estos retratos de encantadores perritos callejeros los hice hoy temprano; quise terminar el mes de Abril saliendo a las calles a hacer estas fotos, la luz solar estaba atenuada por nubes no muy densas, así que pensé que seguramente eso me ayudaría a fotografiar de manera mas apropiada a estos animales usando mi viejo lente zoom 55-300 mm, cosa la cual resultó ser así... Además, estos adorables perritos parecían estar por todas partes más de lo acostumbrado. Es imposible entender las calles sin nuestros perritos callejeros; ellos son parte importante del gentilicio de nuestro pueblo...

You can see by reading what I write how marked is my tendency to humanise these animals. In fact, when I have them close to me, I become a child; I am moved by their eyes ¿don't they look human?, I love their gestures, I love when they wave and wag their tail... I think I have read that humans and dogs have been linked for more than 10,000 years, for me this makes them part of us... In small towns like this one, the dog-human relationship is very marked especially in the streets... I remember when my father (a dog lover too) used to say things like: "He who harms a dog will not scruple to harm a person" or "The more I get to know people, the more I love my dogs"... Dad died in his sleep, with "Maura" (our 13 year old Jack Russell still alive today) lying on his lap... Imagine how close it can be to have a dog with us!...

Pueden percatarse leyendo lo que escribo, de cuan marcada es mi tendencia a humanizar a estos animales. En realidad, cuando los tengo cerca, me convierto en un niño; me conmueven sus ojos ¿No son acaso humanas sus miradas?, amo sus gestos, amo cuando saludan y mueven la cola... Creo haber leído que los humanos y los perros hemos estado ligados más de 10.000 años, para mi esto los hace parte de nosotros mismos... En pueblos pequeños como este, la relación perro-humano se hace muy marcada especialmente en las calles.... Recuerdo cuando mi padre (un amante de los perros también) decía cosas tales: "Aquél que daña a un perro no tendrá escrúpulos en dañar una persona" o "Mientras más conozco a la gente, más amo a mis perros"... Papá murió durmiendo, con "Maura" (nuestra Jack Russell de 13 años aún viva hoy por hoy) echada en sus piernas... ¡Imagínense cuan cercano puede ser tener un perro con nosotros!...

They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.}

_{NOTA TÉCNICA ADICIONAL: Fotografias capturadas con mi cámara DSLR Nikon D7000 en formato RAW, procesadas posteriormente en Adobe Camera RAW para ajustes relativos a luz, afilado, contraste y profundidad... Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape 3.6.3.}
