Hello dear #Hive friends!... In recent days I have been excited to experiment with cropping my photos with aspect ratio other than the native 4:6 from my camera (which is by the way the one I use most often).. And using 16:9 I've found it to be a lovely challenge when shooting street (obviously I have to think about this format while I'm shooting)... But no matter how challenging it can be. .. I love the results!... That's why I wanted to assemble my entry for today's #monomad challenge using photos cut with those proportions...

¡Hola queridos amigos de #Hive!... En días recientes he estado experimentando el recortar mis fotografías con ratio de aspecto distinto al 4:6 nativo desde mi cámara (el cual es por cierto el que suelo usar con más frecuencia)... Y usando el 16:9 me he encontrado con un desafío encantador al momento de realizar fotografías de calle (pues, obviamente, tengo que pensar en este formato mientras estoy haciendo las fotos)... Pero sin importar lo desafiante que pueda ser... ¡Me encantan los resultados!... Es por eso que mi entrada al reto #monomad de hoy la he querido ensamblar usando fotos cortadas con esas proporciones...

"Miguél"... You have probably already seen Miguél in other photos in my publications... He usually lives engrossed in his own world and wanders through the streets of the village talking to himself or sometimes in silence... However, from time to time he responds to my greeting with a smile and then it is possible to take a photo of him like this one, where he looks smiling and quite calm...

"Miguél"... A Miguél ya le han visto seguramente en otras fotos en mis publicaciones... Suele vivir ensimismado en su propio mundo y deambula por las calles del pueblo conversando consigo mismo o a veces en silencio... Sin embargo, de vez en cuando responde a mi saludo con una sonrisa y entonces es posible hacerle una foto como esta, en donde luce risueño y bastante tranquilo...

"Giovanni"... Another one of my "usual photographic victims"!.... This time Giovanni was captured through my 300m zoom lens when I was walking with the sun rising behind me, then Giovanni was making a great effort to see who was approaching him... But he noticed after I had already shot this lovely portrait!... I love the shadow effect produced by his hand used to try to protect himself from the sun!...

"Giovanni"... ¡Otra de mis "victimas fotográficas habituales"!... Esta vez Giovanni fue capturado a través de mi lente zoom 300m cuando yo venía caminando con el sol saliendo a mis espaldas, entones Giovanni hacía un gran esfuerzo por ver quien se acercaba a él... ¡Pero se percató después de que yo ya le había disparado este encantador retrato!... ¡Me encanta el efecto de sombra que produce su mano usada para intentar protegerse del sol!...

"José Miguél"... Ok, I have to be honest... When I took this picture I wasn't trying to make someone appear there, but I wanted to take a picture of that wonderful row of windows of the old colonial mansion, which today is the place for the municipal mayor's office... But José Miguél simply appeared there with his bicycle and improved the picture!... However, I added another picture where you can see those windows more clearly!.

"José Miguél"... Ok, tengo que ser sincero... Cuando hice esta foto no estaba queriendo que apareciese alguien allí, sino que quería hacer una foto de esa maravillosa fila de ventanas de la vieja casona colonial, que hoy aloja las oficinas de la alcaldía municipal... ¡Pero José Miguél simplemente apareció allí con su bicicleta y mejoró la foto!... (Sin embargo, agregué otra imagen en donde si se ven esas ventanas más claramente!

"Macedonio"... That's a difficult photo to take!... My friend Macedonio is a few years younger than me and my maternal grandmother used to take him home to teach him catechism from time to time and on Sundays we both went to mass with my grandmother.... So Macedonio for a long time was like my younger brother... But now he is always working in the village or in the mountains growing vegetables!... So it is difficult to find him in the street!... But this time he has been captured by my camera! .... PS: I know his name is quite strange, but the only time I asked him where the fuck his parents got that name from, he chased me to beat me up (and believe me, it has happened to others too)... So surely that will remain unexplained!...😂

"Macedonio"... ¡Esta sí que es una foto difícil de hacer!... Mi amigo Macedonio es pocos años menor que yo y mi abuela materna solía llevarlo a su casa para enseñarle catecismo de vez en cuando y los Domingos ambos íbamos a misa con mi abuela... Así que Macedonio durante bastante tiempo fue como mi hermano menor... ¡Pero ahora siempre suele estar trabajando en el pueblo o en las montañas cultivando legumbres!... ¡Así que es difícil encontrarlo en la calle!... ¡Pero esta vez ha sido capturado por mi cámara!.... PD: Ya sé que su nombre es bastante extraño, pero la única vez que le pregunté de donde carajo sacaron ese nombre sus padres, me persiguió para darme una paliza (y créanme, también le ha sucedido a otros)... ¡Así que seguramente eso quedará sin explicación!...😂

"The street vendor"... This man often sets up his kiosk to sell shoes and other clothing in the streets of the village... I don't know him, I understand that he doesn't live in the village, but that he comes from time to time to sell... So... I just passed by, took a picture of him and walked on!... That's my version of saying "Hello"!... But I'm sure next time he sees me I can talk to him and take a portrait!... (This is how an apprentice street photographer usually makes friends and enemies)...

"El vendedor callejero"... Este señor coloca con cierta frecuencia su kiosco para vender zapatos y otras prendas de vestir en las calles del pueblo... No le conozco, tengo entendido que no vive en el pueblo, sino que viene de vez algunos días para vender... Entonces... ¡Yo simplemente pasé, le disparé una foto y seguí caminando!... ¡Esa es mi versión de decir "Hola"!... ¡Pero estoy seguro que la próxima vez que me vea podré hablarle y hacerle un retrato!... (Así es como un aprendiz de fotógrafo callejero suele hacer amistades ganar enemigos)...

"Return to the mountain"... I met this young couple going through the last streets of the village, they had with them their loaded mules and their dogs... The young man's name is "Marcos" and he told me that they had come to the village to visit some relatives and to buy some things, but they were already on their way back because they had to travel for about 8 hours by mule through the mountain trails... This is a common occurrence here, many people live in the mountains and come down to the village only occasionally to buy some things they need to make life easier in the mountains.

"Retorno a la montaña"... Encontré a esta joven pareja yendo por las ultimas calles del pueblo, llevaban con ellos sus mulas cargadas y sus perros... El joven se llama "Marcos" y me dijo que habían venido al pueblo a visitar a unos parientes y a comprar algunas cosas, pero ya iban de regreso pues le esperaban unas 8 horas de recorrido en mula por los senderos de las montañas... Aquí suele verse con frecuencia esto, mucha gente vive en las montañas y desciende al pueblo solo ocasionalmente a comprar algunas cosas necesarias para hacer más fácil la vida en sus predios.

"Don't take pictures of me"... This silly guy you see here hiding his face is my first cousin "Julio Cesar"... And he hates it when I take pictures of him!... Yet he's the most joking guy for miles around!... But one of these days I'll find him careless and I can take a portrait of him!... Then I'll put huge Mickey Mouse ears on him and share it on my social networks!...😂

"A mi no me hagas fotos"... Este tipo tonto que ven aquí ocultando su rostro es mi primo hermano "Julio Cesar"... ¡Y odia que le haga fotos!... ¡Sin embargo es el tipo más bromista en kilómetros alrededor!... ¡Pero un día de estos lo encontraré descuidado y podré hacerle un retrato!... ¡Entonces le colocaré enorme orejas de Mickey Mouse y lo compartiré en mis redes sociales!...😂

"Leo and Peter"... Leo (left) is a rather younger friend of mine, I estimate he is about to reach 40 years of age... As a child his family was very poor and Leo started selling hot dogs in a small street kiosk, in order to support himself and help his parents... Today Leo lives in Ecuador and has three restaurants of his own... Now he has returned for a few days to supervise the refurbishment of a house he owns, to open a restaurant here in our town.... This is a good thing, as there are not many people investing their money here and the local economy is very depressed... Pedro (right) is also someone I have known since he was a child and now he is partnering in the new project with Leo... People starting up, that's good!...

"Leo y Pedro"... Leo (izquierda) es un amigo bastante menor yo, estimo que esté por alcanzar los 40 años de edad... De niño su familia era muy pobre y Leo comenzó a vender perros calientes en un pequeño kiosko callejero, para poder mantenerse y ayudar a sus padres... Hoy en día Leo vive en Ecuador y allá tiene tres restaurantes de su propiedad... Ahora ha vuelto durante unos días para supervisar el acondicionamiento de una casa de su propiedad, para abrir un restaurante aquí en el puwblo... Esto es bueno, pues no hay muchas personas que inviertan su dinero aquí y la economía local está muy deprimida... Pedro (derecha) también es alguien que conozco desde que él era un niño y ahora está asociado en el nuevo proyecto con Leo... ¡Gente emprendiendo, eso es bueno!...
