SQUARES - (PHOTOGRAPHY SERIES)

I have been busy with several additional activities, trying to earn some extra money for household expenses. Things haven't changed much here, and the family economy continues to be the topic that causes the most headaches for everyone. So, having a couple of free hours this Sunday afternoon seemed like something wonderful to me, and a time worthy of being invested in my small studio, listening to an audiobook, some music, and—obviously—selecting and processing some of my most recent street photographs, to share them with you here on #Hive...

I set out to select street photographs of diverse character and crop them to a 1:1 square format, trying to maintain a bit of the visual anarchy typical of the town's street environment in some, but also more specific and precise visions in others. Actually, this was an enjoyable processing and editing exercise to do, and it seems to me that it translates my vision of the town, with that accent that only the square format produces in a certain type of photos...

The sense of people's daily life can be seen in these photos
Thank you for sharing these photos
I loved the last photograph, hehe, the man who looks like he's moving, hehe, I liked it. There's something that caught my attention, maybe the mystery of who the man is.
It’s a style of photography I’ve never tried myself, but it looks brilliant, especially in black and white, which evokes memories and a sense of nostalgia. The quality of your work is always impeccable, particularly in street photography, where you show us scenes from people’s lives and everyday life in the village, as if you’d paused time for a moment to capture those precise instants.
I absolutely loved the street photographs this time, with their sense of perspective, criss-crossed cables, and motorbikes, lorries, people and the mist in the background taking centre stage. Thank you for your work, Jesús. A big hug!🤗

I find photos in this format really interesting, although I prefer the vertical format of the photo, especially for portraits. The composition, content and everything else in these photos is perfect, as always, dear friend.
