Today I had planned for my long bike ride to the outskirts of town to be filled with photographs of landscapes with clear horizons, paths with people coming and going, pastures with cows and a few curious sheep watching me pass by or when I stopped to take their pictures. But it couldn't be that way, because although we had a clear sunrise with pristine skies, the fog appeared suddenly and began its slow morning advance towards the valley, covering everything. The sun's disk hovered as if wanting to make itself seen, but it was just a hint of what it had been minutes before. And that's how it sometimes happens here; the fog comes and stills everything, and it comes accompanied by silence. It was those very silences that I dedicated myself to photographing today, and whose images I share with you here on #Hive...

Hoy tenía pensado que mi largo paseo en bicicleta hacia las afueras del pueblo, estuviese repleto de fotografías de paisajes con horizontes despejados, de caminos con gente yendo y viniendo, de pastizales con vacas y algunas ovejas curiosas mirándome pasar o cuando me detengo a hacerles fotos. Pero esto no puede ser así, pues aunque tuvimos un amanecer despejado y con cielos prístinos; la niebla apareció repentinamente y comenzó su lento avance matutino en dirección al valle, y lo cubrió todo. El disco solar flotaba como queriendo hacerse ver, pero era apenas un amague de lo había sido minutos antes. Y así es como sucede a1quí algunas veces; la niebla viene y lo aquieta todo, y viene acompañada de los silencios. De esos mismos silencios los cuales hoy entonces me dediqué a fotografiar, y cuyas imágenes comparto hoy con ustedes aquí en #Hive...

They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
