These are photos from this week that is ending; they are what the title says: my "short morning stories". Because that is what I do almost daily: go out for a walk and steal some moments in the streets of the town, capturing them with my camera, and see myself there in those images, or perhaps "understanding myself" in them would be what best describes all this... I have always said that "Montalbán is a town of photos happening, where the only one who seems to notice this is me"... And, as they say here, "proof is in the pudding," and here are my photos from today for you, which corroborate what I say...

Estas son fotos de esta semana que termina; son eso que dice el título: mis "cortas historias mañaneras". Porque eso es lo que hago casi a diario: salir a caminar y robarme en las calles del pueblo algunos momentos, capturándolos con mi cámara, y verme a mí mismo allí en esas imágenes, o quizás "entenderme a mí mismo" en ellas sería lo que mejor describe todo esto... Siempre he dicho que "Montalbán es un pueblo de fotos ocurriendo, en donde el único que parece percatarse de esto soy yo"... Y, como dicen aquí, "para muestra un botón", y aquí están para ustedes mis fotos de hoy que corroboran lo que digo...

📷 01 - And when I walked past, the little girl said to me, "Aren't you going to take my picture?" So I took this one... / _{Y cuando pasé de largo la niña me dijo: ¿Y no me va a tomar una foto?, entonces disparé...} 😀

📷 02 - And the little girl's mother came out to see who she was talking to, and when she saw me she said: "And a picture of the two of us together," so I took this other one... / _{Y la madre de la niña salió a ver con quien ella hablaba y verme dijo: "Y una foto de ambas juntas", entonces hice esta otra...} 😀

NOTE: And when stories like the one in photo 01 and 02 happen to me, I feel truly fortunate to be in this small town that is slowly dwindling, but has so many pleasant people like that mother and her little girl, whose names I do not know, but who, after the photos, simply said: "Upload them to your social media, we already follow you." And I left there with my eyes almost tearing up and grateful to life, because things like this unite me to photography as an activity where I understand myself as human and beyond...

NOTA: Y cuando me suceden historias como la de la foto 01 y 02, me siento realmente afortunado de estar en este pequeño pueblo que merma lentamente, pero que tiene tanta gente agradable como esa madre y su niña, cuyos nombres desconozco, pero que, después de las fotos, simplemente dijeron: "Súbalas a sus redes, que ya nosotros lo seguimos". Y yo me fui de ahí con los ojos casi lagrimeando y agradecido con la vida, porque estas cosas así me unen a la fotografía como una actividad en donde me entiendo como humano y más allá...

_{ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
