SAVANNAH AT DAWN... (PHOTOGRAPHY SERIES)

North of my town lies a vast rural area where the vegetation and terrain are typical of savannah ecosystems. Obviously, most of this land is dedicated to cattle ranching, which explains the abundance of pastureland. Furthermore, we're now entering the dry season, and the foliage is beginning to turn shades of yellow and ochre, further highlighting the characteristics of this type of landscape... So, taking advantage of the early hours of the day, especially at dawn, to wander along the narrow dirt roads that crisscross this land is enchanting, relaxing, healthy, and—of course—perfect for taking photos...

I took these photos yesterday morning, when we barely had any fog in our valley. The sunrise was perfect for capturing the "golden hour" in photos, along with lots of backlighting, silhouettes of trees beginning to lose their leaves, and mountains on the horizon. There were also some patches of denser fog in the distance, as the sun began to warm the cool morning air of these last days of the year... So, as you can imagine, I had a great time taking these photos and sharing them here on #Hive with you all...

Besides the obvious "photographic pleasures" this place offers, a flood of memories also comes to mind when I come here for a walk... Yesterday, for example, while taking these photos, I clearly remembered how much I loved riding these dirt paths on the first bicycle my parents gave me almost half a century ago. The place has changed little since then, so it gave me the feeling of seeing myself as a child, laughing happily there...

Thank you very much for your visit and appreciation!

What a magical looking land. Are there any dangerous animals living in those forests? 😅
😄 Oh no, @litguru friend, these lands are mostly used for cattle grazing, and there are people living on small properties, so the biggest danger is being charged by a cow or bitten by a guardian dog! 😂... But I'm a vegetarian (and the cows seem to know it 😂), and the dogs love me, they come out onto the paths barking at me, but soon they're wagging the tail, and their owners sometimes even get angry about it! 😁 There are some venomous snakes, but they're generally far from where the cows graze, as they instinctively flee from the animals' hooves, so it's a pretty safe place in that respect!... Tomorrow I'll be posting something about the surrounding area, I hope you can check it out... Thank you so much for stopping by and appreciating my work here on #Hive! 😀🙏
That's great to hear. We got bears, cougars, wolves, and other dangerous creatures living in the forests. Attacks are rare but bears get active after waking up from hibernation, and this year there were several attacks. We don't have many venomous snakes, except rattlesnakes in the interior of the province. I look forward to learning more about that area of the world.
