"RURAL LANDSCAPE - From Montalbán, Carabobo, Venezuela.

It's very early, a little after 6:00 AM and I set out on my daily walk. It's a foggy dawn, like almost a third of the sunrises in this small town nestled between mountains in the north of Venezuela...

55 mm | 1/640s | f/7.1 | ISO 320

98 mm | 1/320s | f/6.3 | ISO 320
Around my neck I wear my old and heavy Nikon D7000 with an AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR zoom lens as old as it is... Not perhaps the best choice for a cloudy morning, but I felt lazy to change the lens for a brighter one, so I opted to make do with this one. After all, I boast that I enjoy taking photos in the face of technical limits and adverse conditions.

55 mm | 1/200s | f/5.6 | ISO 320

62 mm | 1/640s | f/4.5 | ISO 320
I turn away from the streets of the village and into the country roads that lead to a small valley in the south. As is often the case on cloudy mornings, the landscape is eloquent, sometimes simple, and there are always little things happening that are worth photographing. The air is warm, almost hot. This is due to recent changes in the climate, temperatures, here used to be lower. But contrary to what you might think, fog still appears even more frequently than in previous years.

62 mm | 1/800s | f/5 | ISO 320

55 mm | 1/2000s | f/5 | ISO 320

240 mm | 1/1000s | f/7.1 | ISO 320
The luminosity is not constant, the density of the fog seems to vary randomly. I decide to use my camera in semi-automatic aperture mode (A), select a low ISO and keep constantly dealing with apertures, white temperatures and trying to have decent shutter speeds to avoid shaky images.

55 mm | 1/3200s | f/7.1 | ISO 320

55 mm | 1/1600s | f/7.1 | ISO 320
Obviously I try to do my best to manage each photo to achieve the best result. However, as most of the time, I take all the shots in RAW format so that I have a good margin of manoeuvre later on to correct what I need to. After all, fog is beautiful, but it plays tricks on photographers who often don't take all the necessary precautions. In this environment the light comes and goes all the time and details as small as shooting to the east or west can easily force you to change shooting parameters.

116 mm | 1/2500s | f/7.1 | ISO 320

165 mm | 1/1600s | f/7.1 | ISO 320
There are a few people on these roads, most of them know me and simply pass me by after mumbling a brief greeting. For them this is the way to their jobs, for me it is a universe full of almost infinite visual possibilities. So, despite being in the same place as these people, I wander in a different and ephemeral world, for it will disappear shortly when the sun warms and the fog evaporates...

300 mm | 1/2500s | f/7.1 | ISO 250
Thank you very much for your visit and appreciation!
ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... The pictures are then exported to JPG format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.

I can imagine that foggy road through the forest, it's worthy of a horror story or Silbon.
With things the way are here, maybe if "El Silbón" appears the neighbors will eat him! ha ha ha :)) Thank you for stopping by and appreciate dear @wilfredocav friend! ;)

👍
So much mystery in these photos. And it also feels like a coldness. 🙂
Mystery yes, but we don't have "coldness" here! ha ha ha :)... It seems impossible but, even during dawn the weather is still warm. This year all previous temperature records have been broken here, but despite that, the fog continues to arrive very frequently! :)
Thank you very much for stopping by here friend @ccc greetings and a hug!

@jlinaresp yo no soy ccc. 😅
I say the fog because for me it is fresh. I associate it with coldness.
We are never cold here either. Sometimes a breeze blows and my mother sends me to put on a coat. I'm allergic to sudden changes in temperature.
Jesus, what a wonderful series! You've managed to capture every angle of the fog's beauty. Amazing work my friend!
Thanks again for your contribution and have a wonderful evening :)
Thank you very much for stopping by and for that motivating comment dear friend @erikah!... Photographing in fog is sometimes complicated due to variations in luminosity, but over time I learned to find a good adjustment point and I have fun doing this shots... ;) Sending hugs and best wishes to you!

I got cold looking at these pictures and I am surprised to read that it is in Carabobo. Your talent is impressive brother, it's good that from early on you dedicate yourself to get good material. I send you a hug!...
The fog looks so thick there, from a short distance everything is not very clear, this certainly creates an obstacle to our vision
It is difficult to get good results in the image with so much fog. I've tried but I still need a lot of practice and to get to know the equipment better. Here when there is a lot of fog so the heat will be suffocating, the same there? 👍
woow
Venezuela es tan hermosa que hasta los espantos andan con cámaras. No me refiero a ti hermano. Abrazos...
je je je :)) Mil gracias por pasar y apreciar!... ;)
