These photographs are actually a selection of my visions from this month that is just ending... During these last few weeks, I have had to visit rural areas very often, and as time allows, I stop and take photographs... In this selection, you will find mostly landscapes, but also some photos of roads and more specific views of things such as a large tree with bare branches and a cross on the roadside projecting its shadow onto an old wall, perhaps a monument to someone who died in that place or its surroundings many years ago... This is how it is here, this is what it's like to come here, the fresh air, the wind, the blue sky and white clouds, the mountains in the distance, the rural atmosphere, everything happening in unison in a charming way under the radiant sunlight of clear mornings... I invite you then to come in and enjoy what were my recent visions here...

Estas fotografías son en realidad una selección de mis visiones de este mes que recién termina... Durante estas últimas semanas he tenido que visitar parajes rurales con mucha frecuencia, y en la medida en la que mi tiempo me lo permite, me detengo y hago fotografías... En esta selección encontrarán mayormente paisajes, pero también algunas fotos de los caminos y de miradas más puntuales a cosas como un gran árbol de ramas desnudas y una cruz a la orilla del camino proyectando su sombra sobre una vieja pared, un monumento quizás a alguien fallecido en ese lugar o en sus alrededores hace muchos año... Así es esto aquí, así es venir aquí, el aire fresco, el viento, el cielo de azules y nubes blancas, las montañas a lo lejos, el ambiente rural, todo ocurriendo al unísono de manera encantadora bajo la radiante luz del sol de las mañanas claras... Los invito entonces a pasar adelante y disfrutar de lo que fueron mis visiones recientes aquí...

These are good days for taking photographs here; the rains have lessened and the days are clear, the colors are solid, the contrasts strong but manageable, the grass and vegetation in general still retain their green and fresh tones, the atmosphere is crystal clear and allows you to gaze generously at the horizon... I like these first weeks of the last third of the year, I've always liked days like this...

Son días buenos para hacer fotografías aquí; las lluvias han disminuido y los días son claros, los colores sólidos, los contrastes fuertes pero manejables, el pasto y la vegetación en general conservan aún los tonos verdes y fresco, la atmósfera es transparente como el cristal y permite mirar el horizonte con generosidad... Me gustan estas primeras semanas del ultimo tercio del año, siempre me han gustado estos días así...

I don't just come here for work, nor solely to take photos; there is also a more spiritual background for my habit of going along these lonely roads... I like to come here and walk long distances, or ride my bike for a few kilometres, quieting my mind and trying to “think as little as possible”... Those moments of time, with the silence outside and inside me occurring together, are truly valuable for me... Sometimes I wish, I confess, to stay in that state and not return to everyday rationality, that's how pleasant those moments are for me...

No solo vengo aquí por cuestiones de trabajo, tampoco únicamente a hacer fotos; también hay un trasfondo más espiritual en mi hábito de ir por estos caminos solitarios... Me gusta venir aquí y caminar largos tramos, o rodar en mi bicicleta durante algunos kilómetros, aquietando mi mente y procurando "pensar lo menos posible"... Esos espacios de tiempo con el silencio de fuera y el de mi interior ocurriendo juntos, son realmente valiosos para mi... Algunas veces quisiera, lo confieso; quedarme en ese estado y no regresar al racionamiento cotidiano, así de agradable me resultan esos instantes...
