I'm getting old, but I'm still amazed at how fast time seems to be passing for me lately. I rummage through my recent photo archives and find pictures that feel like they were taken ages ago, but they turn out to be only a few weeks old. It seems to me that as the years go by, time speeds up for me. I remember my childhood and teenage years, and I feel like they were very long and so much happened during those months. But now, I feel like everything is happening faster and faster; I even feel like I'm losing perspective and I have trouble calculating how much time has passed between one event and another. I notice all this because reviewing my photos like this makes it very clear to me...

Me estoy haciendo viejo, pero no deja de sorprenderme la velocidad con la que parece correr el tiempo últimamente para mi. Me dedico a hurgar en mis archivos fotográficos recientes y encuentro fotos las cuales siento haber hecho hace mucho tiempo atrás, pero resulta que datan de hace tan solo unas pocas semanas. Me parece que con el paso de los años, el tiempo se me hace más acelerado. Recuerdo los años de mi niñez y adolescencia, y la sensación que tengo es que era muy largos y ocurrían un montón de cosas durante los meses que estos duraban. Pero ahora, siento que todo ocurre más y más rápido, incluso siento perder las perspectivas y me cuesta calcular cuanto tiempo ha transcurrido entre un evento y otro. Percibo todo esto, porque hacer esta especie de revisiones en mis fotografías me lo hace saber muy claramente...

Leaving aside my rather convoluted analysis of time, I'll tell you that these photos are from last November and belong to the kind of images that, for one reason or another, got lost in my files. They're usually images that don't fit a theme I chose for a particular day, or they might be images whose composition or character I didn't understand at the time. Anyway, that's why it's also a good thing to do this kind of review regularly. Because I always find a handful of photos that I really like each time I do this.

Dejando de lado mi bastante enredado análisis del tiempo; les cuento que estas fotos son del pasado mes de noviembre y corresponde a ese tipo de imágenes que por una razón u otra quedaron rezagadas en mis archivos. Generalmente son imágenes que no encajan en una temática que seleccioné para tal o cual día, también puede tratarse de imágenes cuya composición o carácter no entendí en aquel momento. En fin, por eso también es algo bueno hacer este tipo de revisiones recurrentemente. Pues siempre me encuentro con un puñado de fotos que me gustan bastante cada vez que hago esto.

They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
