NATURE IN CLOSE-UP... (PHOTOGRAPHY SERIES)

I continue to spend some time reviewing my recent files, and today I found these photographs of small things in nature, which I took using a 100mm macro lens. So, I spent some time processing and editing them, while also really enjoying exploring the colors and the subtle abstractions that I like to include in the visual composition when I create these kinds of images...

We're now in the thick of the dry season, and this means that observing nature up close translates into a multitude of forms and a certain drama. At this time of year, there are countless dry leaves, some flowers that seem to defy the lack of rain and add color to bare branches, dust floating in the air or clinging to tiny spiderwebs, and it's even easy to use the blue sky as a backdrop for a minimalist spotlight. So, understanding and observing details under these conditions requires practice, instinct, and learning. And I've been doing this for many droughts now, so at this point, I know quite precisely where to point my camera lens to find what I'm looking for...

Thank you very much for your visit and appreciation!
