Today I took a long look through my recent photo archives and, as expected, I found quite a few pictures featuring people from my town. So I decided that today's processing and editing exercise would be based on these kinds of photos.

But, as is often the case, my mind wouldn't stay still, and while I was processing them, I couldn't help but think that many of these photos are from moments when people shout to me in the street and say, "Take my picture!" or even things like, "When you see me around, take my picture!" And it's also happened that I take a picture of someone without them noticing, and then after seeing it posted on my social media, they see me in the street and say, "Hey Jesús, thanks for the picture, it turned out great!"... So somehow, thanks to all of this, I can't help but think that, despite all the setbacks we have here in town; I'm lucky to be here and do what I do...

It's a small town, and a lot of people have left in search of better opportunities. So, I suppose those of us who stayed have developed a certain sense of camaraderie, and simple things like "a guy walking around taking pictures" become interesting and entertaining, something many people enjoy being a part of. After all, almost everyone here has known each other forever, and it's normal for this kind of thing to happen...

Hoy eché un largo vistazo a mis archivos fotográficos recientes y, como era de esperarse, encontré unas cuantas fotografías en donde aparecen las personas de mi pueblo. Así que entonces decidí que mi ejercicio de procesado y edición de hoy, estaría basado en este tipo de fotografías.

Pero, como suele ocurrirme, mi cabeza no se quedó tranquila y, mientras hacía este trabajo de procesado; no pude evitar pensar en que buena parte de estas fotos corresponden a momentos en los que las personas me gritan en la calle y me dicen: "hazme una foto" o incluso me dicen cosas como: "cuando me veas por ahí en la calle, hazme una foto". Y también me ha llegado a pasar que; hago una foto de alguien sin que se percate y luego de verla publicada en mis redes sociales, me ven en la calle y me dicen: "Oye Jesús, gracias por la foto, quedó muy buena"... Así que de alguna manera y gracias todo esto, no puedo dejar de pensar en que, a pesar de todos los contratiempos que tenemos aquí en el pueblo; tengo suerte de estar aquí y hacer lo que hago...

Es un pueblo pequeño, del cual se han ido un montón de personas buscando mejores oportunidades de vida. Entonces, supongo que aquellos que continuamos aquí, hemos desarrollado un cierto sentido de "camaradería" y cosas tan simples como: "un tipo que va por las calles haciendo fotos", se tornan algo interesante y entretenido, de lo cual muchos gustan formar parte. Después de todo, aquí casi todo el mundo se conoce de siempre, y este tipo de cosas en normal que sucedan...

They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
