This is a place in constant change... I am, sometimes, a strange guy thinking that his complex passion for taking street photographs can somehow give rise to the diverse scenes which I am recording at every step... There is a kind of unexpected symbiosis between this small town far from everything and my thoughts tinged by my creative and expressive needs... So that's how sometimes, just sometimes, my photographs and my short stories interwoven around each image happen... At some point of the day I call this: “Mutations”...

Este es un lugar en constante cambio... Soy, algunas veces, un tipo extraño pensando que su compleja afición por hacer fotografías callejeras puede de alguna manera dar lugar a las escenas tan diversas que voy registrando a cada paso... Hay una especie de simbiosis inesperada entre este pequeño pueblo alejado de todo y mi pensamientos matizados por mi necesidad creativa y de expresión... Entonces es así como a veces, solo a veces, suceden mis fotografías y mis historias breves entretejidas alrededor de cada imagen... En algún momento del día llamo a eso: "Mutaciones"...

The space-time seems to expand according to my expectations inherent in my need to find scenes to steal from the present and store them in my portfolio of small stories that are transparent to almost everyone around me. However, for me this is about solid, existing, palpable stories. Sometimes they may be ephemeral, but that doesn't make them any less real. But other times they are things going on forever and, it seems, going on from now on? I am then, standing in the middle of it all and I try to observe... Definitely, I think, the need and the simple fact of creating by expressing, have a lot of sadhana and at this point of my existence, doing what I love to do, I have ended up understanding it in a very clear way...

El espacio-tiempo parece expandirse en función de mis expectativas inherentes a mi necesidad de hallas escenas para robárselas al presente y guardarlas en mi portafolio de pequeñas historias que son transparentes para casi todas las personas a mi alrededor. Sin embargo, para mi esto se trata de historias sólidas, existentes, palpables. Algunas veces pueden ser efímeras, pero eso no las hace menos reales. Pero otras veces son cosas ocurriendo desde siempre y, al parecer, ocurriendo de ahora en más... Yo estoy entonces, parado en el centro de todo eso y procuro observar... Definitivamente, pienso yo, la necesidad y el simple hecho de crear expresando, tienen mucho de sadhana y a estas alturas de mi existencia, haciendo lo que amo hacer, he terminado por entenderlo de manera muy clara...

Being standing out there, observing almost impartially the stories of others, has made me understand how feasible it is for people themselves to be unaware of their stories and just be there living them, as if programmed to do so without the ability to recognize themselves or even alter their courses... Sometimes, I mean, just sometimes, this seems to be the case even with things supposedly devoid of consciousness...

Estar parado allí afuera, observando casi imparcial las historias de otros, me ha hecho entender cuan factible es que las personas en sí misma desconozcan sus historias y simplemente estén allí viviéndolas, como si estuviese programados para ello sin la capacidad para reconocerse o incluso alterar sus rumbos... Algunas veces, digo, solo algunas veces, esto parece ser así incluso con las cosas supuestamente privadas de conciencia...

_{ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
