Perhaps the title of this publication could (or should) have been "Photos and morning lines"... But it seemed to me "more poetic" to place it as I did... Anyway, as they say here: "We all have a little bit of musician, poet and madman". So it is worth the title "Morning pics & morning lines" to accompany these images stolen in the nearby roads during a foggy dawn, one of those few days during which my streets allowed me to escape from them and their spell.

Tal vez el titulo de esta publicación pudo (o debió) ser "Fotos y lineas mañaneras"... Pero me pareció "más poético" colocarlo así tal cual lo hice... En fin, tal como suelen decir aquí: "De músico, poeta y loco, todos tenemos un poco". Vale entonces por título "Fotos mañaneras y lineas mañaneras" para acompañar estas imágenes robadas en los caminos cercanos durante un amaneces de nieblas, uno de esos pocos durante los cuales mis calles me permitieron escapar de ellas y su embrujo.

Around 6:30AM the sun begins to rise, but the fog does its best to hide the lights and keep a silent mystery surrounding everything. Then it is enough for me to walk a few meters to immerse myself in the early solitudes of the river bed that runs lazy and sad to the west of town.

Cerca de las 6:30AM el sol comienza a despuntar, pero la niebla hace lo posible por esconder las luces y mantener un misterio silencioso rodeando todo. Entonces me alcanza con caminar unos cuantos metros para sumergirme en las soledades tempranas del lecho del río que corre perezoso y triste al Oeste del pueblo.

The recent rains have increased its flow and then the garbage of men was washed away.... That is perhaps, a frank allegory of how our troubles and tribulations make us better in spite of painful times.

Las lluvias recientes han hecho crecer su caudal y entonces las basuras de los hombres fueron arrastradas lejos... Eso es quizás, una franca alegoría a como nuestros problemas y tribulaciones nos hacen ser mejores a pesar de los tiempos dolorosos.

Silence seems to flood all around, even the waters run without any sound... I am there, stealing some images, stubborn in my morning vice, but at the same time, I am immersed in the humidity, in the foliage, in the nooks and crannies and the paths... Going from the small riverbank to the dim forest wrapped in intelligible tulles.

El silencio parece inundar todo alrededor, incluso las aguas corren sin sonido alguno... Yo estoy allí, robando algunas imágenes, empecinado en mi vicio matutino, pero a un mismo tiempo estoy inmerso en la humedad, en el follaje, en los recovecos y las veredas... Yendo de la pequeña ribera al tenue bosque envuelto en tules inteligibles.

I find it hard to understand the dense warmth of the air, once fresh and oxygenated when my childhood mornings... Is it me, or is it the river, the forests and the roads that grow old and die? I have no time to ponder my painful lies, I feel intruded among pristine silences and temporary solitudes, so I return to the streets ruminating a handful of bitterness that evaporates when I return...

Me cuesta entender la tibieza densa del aire, otrora fresco y oxigenado cuando mis mañanas de niño... ¿Seré yo acaso, o son el río,los bosques y los caminos quienes envejecen y mueren?... No tengo tiempo de cavilar más mis mentiras dolorosas, me siento intruso entre silencios y soledades prístinas y temporales, así que retorno a las calles rumiando un puñado de amarguras que se evaporan cuando vuelvo...

They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.}
