MONTALBÁN (VENEZUELA), SOME STREETS WITH DOGS, SOME STREETS WITHOUT DOGS (16 PICS)

At night the town's valley felt the effects of an unexpected downpour of those that fall in the middle of the dry season and usually change the town's physiognomy for a few hours or even days. So early today I went out to wander the streets taking my camera with me and trying to register the streets in a free and even anarchic way... On days like this the sky is overcast, the colors become solid, the town's deprivations seem to show themselves more clearly and that complex air of decadence seems to float through all the streets which for a few hours forget about the sunlight and the inclement heat, becoming like wilted watercolors whose colors are mixed with the time's pass...

Today I had for me, streets without dogs and with dogs. It's funny, but for me streets are one thing when they don't have dogs and when these lovely animals are part of the streetscape. So this is basically why I wanted to include this in the title of this post. Besides, dogs and I have always understood each other and my lens seems to instinctively turn towards them when I look at them in my usual streets. Well, I have surely walked these streets thousands of times, but perhaps what changes the most in them throughout the stages of my life, are those wonderful stray dogs, who are by themselves an important part of the daily life of the town... I have already said it before in my publications: “I could not understand my streets without their dogs”...

This unexpected downpour was just a gift from nature, something useful to soften the impact of so many days of inclement sunshine and high temperatures... But there are still many weeks to go before the rains return normally to the valley and green it up for good. So these pictures of the streets with overcast skies are something ephemeral, something that tomorrow may not be seen until the middle of May or maybe early June... So for me it's good to have taken advantage of this parsimonious, almost gray and taciturn dawn...

These are great shots that show the characteristics of this town, including the dogs. I like how they have integrated into the community.

It's a little “weird” photo, it's one of those things that you see in my village in the streets, people use the old baby carts to carry containers with drinking water that they look for far from their homes... Thanks for stopping by and appreciating @goga22 friend... 🙂 🙏

I love the way how you have shown the beauty and the conditions of this place in the same time.
Is sad watching how some small places are in this way !!! I see how the streets are full of stray dogs at least they are free!!! 🤍🤍
I don't know how to express what I exactly feel watching all these photos . Great shots.
