This series of photographs has a rather amusing story: It turns out that I left my house that morning intending to run some errands, then do some shopping, and finally return home around noon, as the weather forecast predicted heavy downpours starting around 12:30 PM. But, as is almost always the case, I took my camera with me, and after completing my errands, I decided that my walk home was a good opportunity to do a sort of "photographic update" of some of the doors and windows of the houses in town. This idea occurred to me precisely because my route back passed through some of the streets with the oldest houses, and these tend to have interesting windows and doors, whose visual character is constantly changing due to the passage of time and the effects of the weather. But, and here's the funny part, shortly after I started taking these photos, I noticed the immense gray clouds looming menacingly on the horizon to the southeast of town... Good heavens, in just a few minutes a downpour seemed imminent, and thunder began to rumble in the distance!... Realizing this, I started to pick up the pace, but I couldn't help stopping, looking at a door or a window, and snapping a picture... I even ran the last few blocks before getting home as fast as I could, taking photos almost at a trot! 😂... Fortunately, there were very few people on the street, as the impending rain brought the town to a standstill, leaving its streets deserted. But the few people who saw me couldn't help but laugh as they watched me practically run through the streets taking pictures of doors and windows, laughing at myself, and trying to get caught in the downpour before I even got home... Luckily, it all turned out alright, and only a few drops managed to reach me! It was so nice to get home and not have to wait for the rain to stop somewhere else, because it rained for almost four hours straight, and I wouldn't have been able to spend all that time downloading and processing photos to share... But here are my photos of doors and windows taken while I was running from the rain, and they're for you on #Hive! 😃📷👍

Esta serie de fotografías tiene una historia relativamente divertida: Resulta que durante la mañana salí caminado de mi casa con la intención de hacer algunas entregas, luego hacer unas compras y finalmente regresar al mediodía a casa, pues el reporte del clima anunciaba fuertes aguaceros a partir de las 12:30 PM aproximadamente. Pero, como casi siempre ocurre, llevé mi cámara conmigo y, luego de hacer las cosas que tenía pendientes, decidí que mi recorrido de retorno a casa era una buena oportunidad para hacer una especie de "actualización fotográfica" de algunas puertas y ventanas de las casas del pueblo. Y esto se me ocurrió precisamente porque mi ruta de retorno pasaba por algunas delas calles con más casas viejas y estas suelen tener ventanas y puertas interesantes, cuyo carácter visual suele cambiar continuamente debido al paso del tiempo y los efectos de la intemperie. Pero, y aquí viene lo divertido, es que poco después de comenzar a hacer estas fotos, me percaté de los inmensos nubarrones grises que aparecían amenazantes en el horizonte al sureste del pueblo... ¡Santos cielos, en pocos minutos el aguacero parecía ser inminente y comenzaron a escucharse truenos en la lejanía!... Al percatarme de esto, comencé a apurar el paso, pero no podía evitar detenerme, mirar una puerta o una ventana y disparar... ¡Las ultimas cuadras antes de llegar a casa incluso las hice corriendo lo más rápido que pude y disparaba fotos casi al trote! 😂... Afortunadamente había poquísimas en la calle, pues la inminencia de la lluvia hace que el pueblo se paralice y sus calles queden solitarias. Pero las pocas personas que me observaron no pudieron evitar reír mientras veían casi correr por las calles haciendo fotos de puertas y ventanas, riéndome de mi mismo, e intentando terminar siendo atrapado por el aguacero antes de llegar a casa... ¡Afortunadamente todo terminó bien, y apenas algunas gotas llegaron a alcanzarme!... Y fue bueno llegar a casa y no tener que esperar a que cesara la lluvia en un lugar foráneo, pues llovió durante casi cuatro horas seguidas y no hubiera podido pasar todo ese tiempo descargando fotos y procesándolas para compartirlas... ¡Pero aquí están mis fotos de puertas de ventanas tomadas mientras huía de la lluvia, y son para ti en #Hive!...😃📷👍
