THE STORY BEHIND THESE PHOTOS: Our main refrigerator broke down yesterday afternoon, I guess due to the continuous blackouts and power fluctuations we experience here daily. So my wife (literally, the only living being born with the capacity to tolerate me without wanting to send me to a mental asylum) 😂 spent all of yesterday afternoon and part of this morning preventing me, by all means, from taking the appliance apart to "supposedly fix it." My wife knows, just as I do, that I am pretty bad at repairing appliances and that, usually, once I try, they end up worse than they were. But she also knows that "obsessive-compulsive" disorder is one of my many "superpowers" 😂 so she has her techniques to manage me when the situation calls for it. So, once she arranged for the refrigeration technician to come to the house, she simply said: "Go out to the streets to take photos or whatever while the technician is checking the refrigerator; because if you start bothering him with your ideas and suggestions, you will make the guy hit you, or worse yet, sue you for psychological damage to his person" 😂... So, faced with such a proposition, I had no choice but to wander around the town streets during the midday hours, which were agreed upon by the technician to come to our house to repair the refrigerator... And that is how I got all this lovely photographic material to share with you today on #Hive!... 😀📷🫵

LA HISTORIA DE ESTAS FOTOS: Nuestro refrigerador principal se dañó ayer en la tarde, supongo que debido a los continuos apagones y oscilaciones del fluido eléctrico que tenemos aquí a diario. Así que mi esposa (literalmente, el único ser vivo que ha nacido con la capacidad de soportarme sin querer enviarme a un manicomio) 😂 estuvo toda la tarde de ayer y parte de la mañana de hoy evitando, por todos los medios, que yo desarmase el aparato para «supuestamente repararlo». Mi esposa sabe, al igual que yo mismo, que soy bastante malo reparando electrodomésticos y que, generalmente, una vez que lo intento, los aparatos quedan peor de como estaban. Pero ella también sabe que el desorden «obsesivo-compulsivo» es uno de mis tantos «superpoderes» 😂, así que tiene sus técnicas para manejarme cuando la situación lo amerita. Así que, una vez ella concertó con el técnico de refrigeración para que viniese a casa, simplemente me dijo: «Ve a las calles a hacer fotos o a lo que sea mientras el técnico está revisando el refrigerador, pues si comienzas a molestarlo con tus ideas y sugerencias, harás que el tío te golpee o, peor aún, te demande por daño psicológico a su persona» 😂... Así que, ante semejante planteamiento, no tuve más opción que ir a deambular por las calles del pueblo durante las horas del mediodía, que fueron las acordadas por el técnico para venir a nuestra casa a reparar el refrigerador... ¡Y así tuve todo este encantador material fotográfico para compartir con ustedes hoy en #Hive!... 😀📷🫵

By the way, while I was taking these photos, the refrigeration technician went to our house, checked the refrigerator that was not working, disassembled the damaged part (something like the "timer"), went to buy it himself, installed it, and left the appliance working perfectly—and all for less than 10 dollars and in less than 40 minutes!... My wife says that, if I had been present, this would not have been even half as easy and fast! 😂... Perhaps she is right after all!...

Por cierto, mientras yo hacía estas fotos, el técnico de refrigeración fue a nuestra casa, revisó el refrigerador que no funcionaba, desmontó la parte dañada (algo así como el «temporizador»), fue él mismo a comprarlo, lo instaló y dejó el aparato funcionando perfectamente, ¡y todo por menos de 10 dólares y en menos de 40 minutos!... ¡Mi esposa dice que, si yo hubiese estado presente, esto no hubiese sido ni la mitad de fácil y rápido! 😂... ¡Quizás tenga razón ella después de todo!...
